Megalomaniac (KMFDM Song)
"Megalomaniac" is a song by industrial rock band KMFDM from the album commonly referred to as ''Symbols (album), Symbols''. It was released in various forms in late 1997 and early 1998. The song peaked at #22 on Billboard's Bubbling Under 100 chart, the band's only appearance on the chart. The associated music video featured a then-unknown, and only 17 year old Kelly Brook. A 7" vinyl version was released in 2009. The song was also used in the film ''Mortal Kombat: Annihilation'' in the end credits and in the 1998 racing video game ''Test Drive 5'', along with an instrumental version in the latter. KMFDM
KMFDM (originally Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid, loosely translated by the band as "no pity for the majority") is a multinational industrial band from Hamburg led by Sascha Konietzko, who founded the band in 1984 as a performance art project. The band's earliest incarnation included German drummer En Esch and British vocalist Raymond Watts, the latter of whom left and rejoined the group several times over its history. The trio recorded the band's earliest albums in Germany before Konietzko and Esch moved to the United States, where they found much greater success with seminal industrial record label Wax Trax!. German guitarist Günter Schulz joined in 1990; both he and Esch continued with the band until KMFDM broke up in 1999. The ''Daily Express'' is a national daily United Kingdom middle-market newspaper printed in tabloid format. Published in London, it is the flagship of Express Newspapers, owned by publisher Reach plc. It was first published as a broadsheet in 1900 by Sir Arthur Pearson. Its sister paper, the ''Sunday Express'', was launched in 1918. In June 2022, it had an average daily circulation of 201,608. The paper rose to become the largest circulation newspaper in the world under Lord Beaverbrook, going from 2 million in the 1930s to 4 million in the 1940s. Tim Skold (born Thim Sköld) is a Swedish musician and record producer who produces solo work and has also collaborated with multiple musical groups including Shotgun Messiah, KMFDM, Marilyn Manson and Motionless in White. Biography Early life Skold grew up in Timmersdala, 21 kilometres northwest of Skövde. He has a sister named Linda. Skold grew up in a very liberal setting as the son of a 15-year-old mother named Åse and a father trying to get by as a semi-professional drummer. At age 11, Skold joined a playback band (where the band mimes over recorded material). Skold's band would play for people at school meetings with Kiss, Bowie and Sweet songs playing on a cassette player. Skold first rented a bass guitar at age 12, and by the time he was 13, he was playing and singing in his first real band. In particle physics, annihilation is the process that occurs when a subatomic particle collides with its respective antiparticle to produce other particles, such as an electron colliding with a positron to produce two photons. The total energy and momentum of the initial pair are conserved in the process and distributed among a set of other particles in the final state. Antiparticles have exactly opposite additive quantum numbers from particles, so the sums of all quantum numbers of such an original pair are zero.
