Megabús
The Megabús is a bus rapid transit system that serves the cities of Pereira and Dosquebradas in Colombia. The Megabús covers most parts of the cities using Av. 30 de Agosto and Av. del Ferrocarril in Pereira, and Av. Simon Bolívar in Dosquebradas. Carrera 6ta, Carrera 7ta, Carrera 8ta, Carrera 10ma, Calle 13ra and Calle 24ta are also used. The system opened on August 21, 2006 using only Line 3. Line 1 and Line 2 were opened on October 23, 2006. The provisional ''Intercambiador'' (Transfer Station) in Dosquebradas was opened in 2007 and the final one in the Cuba neighborhood of Pereira in August 2008. Dosquebradas
Dosquebradas () is the second largest city and a municipality in the Risaralda Department, Colombia. , it had a population of approximately 207,000 inhabitants. The city is connected by the César Gaviria Trujillo Viaduct to Pereira, the capital of the department. The name of the city literally means "two creeks" (''dos quebradas''), Santa Teresita and Las Garzas. Dosquebradas is sometimes called the Pink Zone (''Zona Rosa'') of Pereira because it has many nightclubs and bars, which are filled with young people on the weekends. It grew up as an industrial center serving Pereira in the 1970s and 1980s. With the construction of El Poblado neighborhood (low-income housing) it experienced a population boom, providing residence to many families that commuted to Pereira for work. TransMilenio is a bus rapid transit (BRT) system that serves Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, and Soacha. The system opened to the public in December 2000, covering Avenida Caracas, Caracas Avenue and 80 street. Other lines were added gradually over the next several years, and as of 2022, 12 lines totalling run throughout the city.
