''MegaRace 2'' is a vehicular combat racing game developed by Cryo in 1996, for the PC. It was published by Mindscape and is the first sequel of the original ''MegaRace'', which was later followed by ''MegaRace 3''. This game features host Lance Boyle (Christian Erickson), joined by his assistant Lucinda ( Alice Evans). The player is an "enforcer", attempting to win a series of races against computer opponents, by finishing in first place, or destroying their cars, automatically disqualifying them. Microïds, owners of the Cryo brand, made the game available on GOG.com on April 30, 2009 alongside the first ''MegaRace''. Cryo Interactive Entertainment was a French video game development and publishing company founded in 1990, but existing unofficially since 1989 as a developer group under the name Cryo. The company was founded by Roger Buoy in October 1983 in Northbrook, Illinois, originally as part of SFN Companies until a management buyout was completed in 1987. Mindscape Initial public offering, went public in 1988 and was subsequently acquired in 1990 by The Software Toolworks, eyeing Mindscape's Nintendo license. When Toolworks was acquired by Pearson plc in 1994, Mindscape became the primary identity for the development group.
