Meg Ward
Meg Ward (born 18 August 1994) is an Australian rugby league footballer who plays as a and for the Brisbane Broncos in the NRL Women's Premiership and the Valleys Diehards in the QRL Women's Premiership. She is an Australian and Queensland representative and has won three premierships with the Broncos. Background Born in Gosford, Ward moved to Brisbane when she was two years old. Growing up, she played soccer and later rugby union. After joining the Australian Defence Force and moving to Darwin, she began playing rugby league for the Northern Sharks and Northern Territory Titans. Playing career In 2017, Ward represented Australia at the 2017 Women's Rugby League World Cup, scoring three tries in the tournament. 2018 In June, Ward represented the ADF at the Women's National Championships. MacKillop Sharks Rugby League Club, formerly known as the University Sharks, was an Australian Rugby League club which competed in the Northern Territory Rugby League competition, based out of MacKillop Catholic College in Palmerston, NT. The Club was originally founded in 1973 as the Northern Suburbs Sharks. It relocated to Palmerston in 2014 in a Partnership with MacKillop. The Sydney Roosters are an Australian professional Rugby league, Rugby League Football Club based in the Eastern Suburbs (Sydney) and parts of inner Sydney. The club competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. The Roosters have won fifteen New South Wales Rugby League premiership, New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and National Rugby League titles, and several other competitions. The St. George Illawarra Dragons is an Australian professional rugby league football club, representing both the Illawarra and St George regions of New South Wales. The club has competed in the National Rugby League since 1999 after a joint-venture was formed between the St. George Dragons (est. 1921) and the Illawarra Steelers (est. 1982). They officially formed as the game's first joint-venture club on 23 September 1998 and it remains the only inter-city team in the NRL.
