Mediocredito or Istituti Regionali per il Finanziamento alle Medie e Piccole Industrie were 19 Italian banks that established in 1950s to provide medium term loan to small and medium companies (or more specifically industrial companies), they served 19 regions of Italy (Molise region was established in 1963), with Aosta Valley did not have their dedicated bank. One more bank (Mediocredito Centrale) did not belong to any region. Banca del Mezzogiorno – MedioCredito Centrale S.p.A. (BdM-MCC) is an Italian bank based in Rome, Lazio region. The bank is entirely controlled by Invitalia S.p.A., which in turn is owned by the Ministry of Economy. The bank was specialized in medium-term loan to companies, which developed into corporate and investment banking, and currently specialized in public sector, such as one of the manager of Fondo di Garanzia per le Piccole e Medie Imprese (a guarantee fund for SMEs) of the Ministry of Economic Development, and European Union's Joint European Resources for Micro to Medium Enterprises Calabria Fund. Istituto per lo Sviluppo Economico dell'Italia Meridionale S.p.A. known as ISVEIMER is a former Italian bank based in Naples, Campania. The bank was in liquidation since 1996, which the headquarter of the company was relocated to Rome. However, due to the subsidized loan, the company was still in wind-down phase as in 2015. Banca Adriatica S.p.A. trading as UBI Banca Adriatica and formerly known as Nuova Banca delle Marche S.p.A. was an Italian bank based in Jesi, Marche region.
