Media Link (TV Broadcaster)
Media Link is Bulgarian company, which main activity is representation of foreign TV to Bulgaria and implementation of voice-overs of foreign programs. Since 2000, the company is representative of Fox Kids (later Jetix, and Disney Channel Bulgaria), Bulgarian National Television and National Geographic Channel. Since 2007, Media Link began dubbing different series, mostly for Diema, and in October of the same year, for Jetix. At the end of 2008 the translation of the documentaries on National Geographic Channel Bulgaria switches the subtitles with dubbing, and a little later, in December, all announces on the TV also sound in Bulgarian. Fox Kids (originally known as Fox Children's Network and later as the Fox Kids Network; stylized as FOX KIDS) was an American children's block programming, programming block and branding for a slate of international children's television channels. Jetix (stylized as JETIX) was a children's entertainment brand owned by The Walt Disney Company. The brand was for a slate of action/adventure-related programming blocks and television channels. Jetix programming mainly originated from the Saban Entertainment library, airing live-action and animated series with some original programming. Jetix was first launched as a programming block in the United States on Toon Disney on February 14, 2004, to compete with Cartoon Network, Cartoon Network's Toonami block, and in Europe in April 2004. Disney Channel is a British-managed Bulgarian pay television kids' channel, owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company Limited. It was launched on 19 September 2009, replacing Jetix Eastern Europe. History The channel was launched in April 1999 as Fox Kids Central and Eastern Europe, following the 1996 launch of Fox Kids UK. The network's programming consisted mostly of older shows from Fox Children's Productions, which were aired in the US Fox Kids block, and shows from its co-owners, Saban International.
