Meadowfair is a small neighborhood of San Jose, California, located in East San Jose. Chicano
Chicano or Chicana is a chosen identity for many Mexican Americans in the United States. The label ''Chicano'' is sometimes used interchangeably with ''Mexican American'', although the terms have different meanings. While Mexican-American identity was related to encouraging assimilation into White American society and separating the community from the African-American political struggle, Chicano identity emerged among anti-assimilationist youth. Eastridge, officially Eastridge Center, is a shopping mall in San Jose, California, located in the Evergreen, San Jose, Evergreen district of East San Jose. Eastridge opened as the largest mall on the U.S. West Coast, West Coast in 1971 and has been redesigned multiple times throughout its history, most recently in 2017.
