Meadow Park, Gloucester
Meadow Park is a football stadium in Hempsted, Gloucester. It has been home to Gloucester City A.F.C. from 1986 to 2007. It was destroyed by flooding in 2007 and was rebuilt, with the first game being held in September 2020. History Meadow Park was not the first home of Gloucester City A.F.C., their previous venue was Horton Road Stadium from 1964 to 1986. The club officially moved to Meadow Park in 1986. In 1990, the stadium flooded after severe snowfall. It was submerged under 4 feet of water when the snow melted, which meant the ground couldn't be used for over a month. In December 2000, the River Severn flooded and submerged the stadium in of water, and the changing rooms were also flooded and ruined. The ground was out of commission for more than 6 weeks, after an environmental health inspection ruled that the ground wasn't fit for use due to the contamination of the water. Hempsted
Hempsted is a suburban village and former civil parish, now in the unparished area of Gloucester, in the Gloucester district, in the county of Gloucestershire, England. In 1961 the parish had a population of 508. History An ancient area of Gloucester, Hempsted was just outside the City. The fine Norman church of St. Swithun was built and paid for by Norman noblemen. The churchyard contains the chest tomb of John Freeman, a Royalist officer, shot at the siege of Gloucester in 1643. During the Middle Ages a persecuted Augustinian monastic order came out of Wales and settled at Hempsted with the blessing of the City authorities. They founded Llanthony Secunda Priory and Hempsted became an estate of the priory. The church was extended with a new vestry and a west gallery was added as well as new pews and re-roofing to the design of G.V.Maddox of Monmouth in 1839. 2024-25 National League
A coxless four is a rowing boat used in the sport of competitive rowing. It is designed for four persons who propel the boat with sweep oars, without a coxswain. The crew consists of four rowers, each having one oar. There are two rowers on the stroke side (rower's right hand side) and two on the bow side (rower's lefthand side). The Non-League Paper
''The Non-League Paper'' is a weekly English sports paper based on non-League football. It is published every Sunday. For a short while a midweek edition was also published. The publication features match reports from the previous day's top four levels of English non-league football with round-ups of step five divisions. Results and tables from steps 5 and 6 are also featured as are the results and a selection of tables from step 7. A round-up of football in Wales is included and the scores from senior Scottish non-league football are featured in the results section. A results round-up from the previous week's midweek matches is also included. In addition, there are a number of pages devoted to news from the non-league scene.
