''Me and You and the World'' is the third studio album, and first major label release, by American acoustic rock performer Dave Barnes. The album was launched internationally on April 1, 2008. The album's first single "Until You", which is a re-recording of a song from his first independent album, was released on February 19, 2008. Background Following the release of his second independently recorded and launched album '' Chasing Mississippi'', Dave Barnes began writing material for his next album while touring. David Mckee Barnes (born June 20, 1978) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. He has released eight studio albums, including two Christmas albums. His most recent full-length album, ''Dreaming in Electric Blue'', was released in 2020. Early life The eldest of three children, Barnes was born in South Carolina in 1978, the son of a pastor who relocated his family to Kosciusko, Mississippi when Barnes was six years old. The Barnes family then moved to Knoxville, Tennessee the summer during his junior year of high school, where he graduated from Farragut High School in 1996. Barnes went to college at Middle Tennessee State University and graduated with a degree in Recording Industry Management. While there, he began playing guitar and writing songs for fun. The Gabe Dixon Band
The Gabe Dixon Band was a three-piece band that was formed in the fall of 1998 at the University of Miami. The band played piano-driven rock and was named after Gabe Dixon, the lead vocalist and pianist of the band. After the band broke up in 2010, Dixon has continued as a solo artist. Gabe Dixon
Gabe Dixon (born December 7, 1977) is an American musician. Dixon began his career in the Nashville-based country band, Six Shooter. Between 1998 and 2010, he was the lead singer of The Gabe Dixon Band. Since the band's break-up, Dixon has worked as a solo artist. He has released two studio albums, '' One Spark'' (2011) and '' Turns to Gold'' (2016), and one live album Live In Boston (2017). He is also the founder of the label Rolling Ball Records. As of 2019, Dixon has been on tour with the Tedeschi Trucks Band. This tour was intended to continue in 2020 but it has been postponed until 2021 due to COVID-19. Matthew Stewart Wertz (born February 17, 1979) is an American singer-songwriter. Originally from Liberty, Missouri, as of 2014 he lives in Nashville, Tennessee. Life and career Born and raised a Christian in Liberty, Missouri, Wertz's interest in visual art led him to study at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he graduated with a degree in industrial design.
