MeTV, an acronym for Memorable Entertainment Television, is an American broadcast television network owned by Weigel Broadcasting. Marketed as "The Definitive Destination for Classic TV", the network airs a variety of classic television programs from the 1930s through the 1990s. MeTV in the ensuing years has spun off six sister networks: MeTV+, the male-targeted, action/adventure-oriented Heroes & Icons, the sitcom oriented Decades, the film-centered Movies! (joint venture with Fox Television Stations), the female-targeted, drama-oriented Start TV, and the history/documentary network Story Television. Nickelodeon (often shortened to Nick) is an American pay television television channel, channel which launched on April 1, 1979, as the first cable channel for children. TEENick
TeenNick is an American pay-TV channel that is operated by the Paramount Media Networks division of Paramount Global. Aimed primarily at teens and tweens, its programming includes a variety of live-action series inherited from sister channel Nickelodeon. The channel launched on September 28, 2009, as the merger between two defunct programming blocks which also targeted a teenage audience: TEENick on Nickelodeon and The N on Noggin. Before its introduction as a channel, TeenNick's space used to be held by Nick GAS (from 1999 to 2007) and a short-lived, 24-hour version of The N (from 2007 to 2009). When the TeenNick channel was first announced in early 2009, its name was spelled "TEENick" like the block it was based on. Me is an African television channel created and owned by M-Net, exclusive to their DStv satellite service. History The channel launched as The Series Channel on 1 April 1998. It then was explicitly branded with M-Net in 2005, becoming M-Net Series. On 9 July 2013, the network became part of a three-network multiplex, with the other two channels, M-Net Series Reality, airing reality television, and M-Net Series Zone airing programmes on a delay. The network's new name, M-Net Series Showcase was meant to define it as M-Net's main network for debuting current series. However, the format failed within a year, and M-Net Series Showcase would become Vuzu Amp on 20 October 2014, while M-Net Edge took over for M-Net Series Reality on 13 October 2014. For You (stylised as "for you") was an Italian shopping and movie television channel, available on digital terrestrial television in Italy. Launched on March 1, 2011 as ME, "for you" was the replacement for Mediashopping. The channel adopted its current name on June 6, 2011. The channel has closed broadcasts on May 20, 2013 and has been replaced by the new Mediaset TV channel Top Crime. Middle East Television (METV) is a Christian satellite television broadcasting network located in Limassol, Cyprus. Programming on METV includes a mixture of Christian programming, plus non-religious entertainment programs like ''The Red Green Show'', ''The Mary Tyler Moore Show'', ''The Lone Ranger'' and NFL Football. Lester Frank Sumrall (February 15, 1913 – April 28, 1996) was an American Pentecostal pastor and evangelist. He founded the Lester Sumrall Evangelistic Association (LeSEA) and its humanitarian arm LeSEA Global Feed the Hungry, World Harvest Radio International, and World Harvest Bible College. Majuro Educational Television was a television station in the Majuro Atoll. It was owned by the Alele Corporation, a non-profit in charge of the Alele Museum. History The station signed on in August 1989. The Alele Museum took over the part-time educational output from a private interest and broadcast its services with assistance from its small video production studio. Cameras from Brian Reimers were used. METV by 1990 broadcast 10 hours a day in the clear, in opposition to MBC which broadcast encrypted. Programming was primarily donated from educational video tapes (educational programming produced in American Samoa and Greenpeace documentaries) and programming taped from KHET, the Hawaiian PBS station. Music & Entertainment Television (also known as ME Television and ME TV) is an Austin, Texas independent music television channel. Seen on Spectrum Government-access television (GATV) channel 15 and digital channel 577 in Austin, the channel is owned by the Austin Music Commission (a municipal agency), and operated by Austin Music Partners. History ME TV had its roots with the Austin Music Network (AMN), a non-profit independent music television channel. The station began broadcasting April 1, 1994. Programming on the channel was reminiscent of early MTV programming and similar to a music radio format. It mostly took the form of music videos or prerecorded live sessions played continuously, often interspersed with presenters talking to a fixed camera for a short time.
