Pat McQuistan
Patrick Shawn McQuistan (born April 30, 1983) is a former American football offensive tackle in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals and Tennessee Titans. He played college football at Weber State University. Early years McQuistan attended and played football at Lebanon High School in Lebanon, Oregon, earning second-team All-Valley League honors as a junior defensive lineman. In his last year, he was moved to the offensive line and earned honorable-mention All-Valley League honors as an offensive tackle and punter. College career McQuistan accepted a football scholarship from Weber State University along with his brother Paul, but was declared academically ineligible in 2002. He played baseball as a pitcher for one season at Edmonds Community College. In 2003, he enrolled at Weber State and sat out the season as an academic redshirt. Finlay McQuistan
Captain Finlay McQuistanHis first name his sometimes given as Finley and his last as McQuiston in various sources. (4 October 1896 – 4 September 1950) was a Scottish World War I flying ace who was credited with 11 aerial victories. Early life Finlay McQuistan was the son of Finlay and Agnes J. McQuistan, and was born on 4 October 1896 in Greenock West, Scotland. World War I service On 26 June 1916, he was seconded from duty with the III Highland (Howitzer) Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, part of the 51st (Highland) Division, to the Royal Flying Corps as a second lieutenant and flying officer. He was assigned to No. 12 Squadron RFC to fly a B.E.2 two-seater reconnaissance machine. A wounding in September ended this posting. His next assignment, in March 1917, was to No. 55 Squadron RFC. Dugald McQuistan
Prof Dugald Black McQuistan FRSE (1879 – 2 April 1946) was a Scottish mathematician. Life He was born at Inverkip in Renfrewshire 1879. He was the son of Alexander McQuisten, a baker, and Agnes Leitch, the daughter of a grocer and market gardener. He was educated at Whitehill School in Glasgow. On 11 December 1895 it was announced in The Scotsman: Dougald McQuistan and Peter Ramsay, two students of the secondary department of Whitehill Public School, Glasgow, have been awarded by the Science and Art Department "Queen's Prizes" to mathematics. After studying Mathematics and Physics at Glasgow University he returned to Whitehill School to teach maths. From there he moved to teach at Allan Glen's School and then to the High School. He appears to have continued to live with his parents, then at 33 Renfield Street in Glasgow. In 1921 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
