Robert McQueeney
Robert McQueeney (March 5, 1919 – April 24, 2002) was an American actor, best known for television roles during the 1950s and 1960s. During and after his acting career, he also worked as a golf pro and instructor. Acting career A versatile character actor, McQueeney appeared on Broadway in ''Billy Budd'' (1951) and ''Fragile Fox'' (1954). In 1959, he portrayed the 19th century actor, Edwin Booth, brother of John Wilkes Booth, the assassin of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, in the episode "The Man Who Loved Lincoln" on the ABC/ Warner Brothers western television series, '' Colt .45'', starring Wayde Preston as the fictitious undercover agent Christopher Colt, who in the story line is assigned to protect Booth following a death threat. McQueeney, Texas
McQueeney is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Guadalupe County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,545 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area. History German settlers first moved to the area around 1870. When the Galveston, Harrisburg & San Antonio railroad was built through the area in 1876, the stop was named "Hilda". In 1900, a local businessman, C. F. Blumberg, built a general store east of the rail stop. Hoping to get the railroad to move the stop from Hilda to his store, Blumberg called the site "McQueeney", in honor of the local railroad superintendent. The railroad was not persuaded, but the post office that opened in 1900 was called McQueeney. Lake McQueeney was created in 1925 by damming the Guadalupe River. Patricia Noonan McQueeney (September 16, 1927 in Bridgeport, Connecticut – September 4, 2005 in Santa Monica, California) was an American actress, television personality, and talent agent perhaps best known as Harrison Ford's manager. Career After early work as a model and actress in television commercials under the name "Patricia Scott", McQueeney was hired for ''The Today Show'' by first host Dave Garroway and appeared frequently on the show until 1964. In 1970, McQueeney met Harrison Ford and began to work for him, first as his agent and later also as his personal manager. In 1973, she launched her own agency, which represented many rising Hollywood stars, including Teri Garr, Mackenzie Phillips, Cindy Williams, and Candy Clark. She continued to represent Ford until her death in 2005. She served on a California state commission tasked with recommending changes in the laws governing talent representation.
