Akhil Rabindra () is an Indian racing driver and a graduate from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. For the 2019 Season, Akhil Rabindra is selected as the Aston Martin Racing Academy Driver and will be racing in the GT4 European Series and will drive an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 for PROsport Performance and Rabindra teamed up with 23-year-old Swiss racer Florian Thoma. McLaren Autosport BRDC Award
The Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Award is an award set up in 1989 to reward and recognise young racing drivers from the UK. As its names suggest, the award is backed by Aston Martin, motorsport magazine Autosport, and the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC). As well as the prestige of winning the award, a test drive in an Aston Martin Formula One car and £100,000 – increased from £50,000 in 2010 – cash prize, the award winner is also presented with the Chris Bristow Trophy. McLaren ended its longstanding partnership with the accolade in January 2019, and Aston Martin replaced them. The 2019 winner received a test in a Red Bull F1 car at Silverstone, as Aston Martin was the team's sponsor. After 2020, the winner ran in an Aston Martin F1 Team car. The 2016 Pirelli World Challenge was the 27th running of the Sports Car Club of America's World Challenge series. Johnny O'Connell was the defending champion in the highest class, the GT class. Colin Thompson (racing Driver)
Colin Thompson (born February 17, 1994) is an American racing driver. After a career in single seaters, Thompson won the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge Platinum Class in 2014 and the Pirelli World Challenge GT Cup in 2015. He is the son of 1989 American Racing Series driver John Thompson. He has been engaged to Norwegian heiress Alexandra Andresen since January 2023. Racing career Thompson started racing in quarter midgets at age five at his local Oaklane Speedway in Trumbauersville, Pennsylvania. In 2008 the young driver won the Quarter Midget Association World Formula championship. After graduating the Skip Barber Racing School in 2009 Thompson raced in the Formula Skip Barber and Bertil Roos Racing Series. 2016 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup
The 2016 Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup was the sixth season of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. The season started on 24 April at Monza and ended on 18 September at the Nürburgring. The season featured five rounds, with each race lasting for a duration of three hours besides the 24 Hours of Spa and the 1000 km Paul Ricard events. Alex Fontana (born 5 August 1992 in Lugano) is a Swiss racing driver of Greek descent, currently racing as a professional driver in the GT4 European Series for Centri Porsche Ticino. The 2015 Avon Tyres British GT season was the 23rd season of the British GT Championship. David Cleto Fumanelli (21 April 1992, Milan) is an Italian racing driver and racing coach. Single Seater Career Formula Renault 2.0 Fumanelli, after just two years of national karting races, made his single-seater debut in 2008 in his native Italian Formula Renault 2.0 series, driving for RP Motorsport.
