Millie and Christine McKoy (also spelled ''McCoy''; July 11, 1851 – October 8, 1912) were African-American pygopagus conjoined twins who went by the stage names "The Carolina Twins", "The Two-Headed Nightingale" and "The Eighth Wonder of the World". The twins traveled throughout the world performing song and dance for entertainment, overcoming years of slavery, forced medical observations, and forced participation in fairs and freak shows. Life Millie and Christine (the "Carolina Twins") were born in Whiteville, North Carolina on July 11, 1851, to Jacob and Monemia McKoy who were enslaved by the blacksmith Jabez McKay. The McKay farm was near the town of Whiteville. Prior to the sisters' birth, their mother had given birth to seven other children, five boys and two girls, all of ordinary size and form. David McKoy (born July 5, 1983) is a former Canadian football wide receiver. He was originally drafted ninth overall by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the 2007 CFL Draft. He played CIS Football at Guelph. Due to a knee injury suffered in 2007 and recurring problems the following two years, McKoy has played sparingly during his CFL career. Grainger McKoy (born in 1947) is an artist who draws inspiration from the dynamics of bird behavior. He is best known for his wood sculptures but also produces jewelry and gifts. History Victor Grainger McKoy was born in North Carolina in 1947. After receiving an antique duck decoy from his grandmother as a child, McKoy carved his first bird out of wood - a shorebird from cypress wood. He is a graduate in the class of 1965 of Edmunds High School (now Sumter High School), Sumter, S. C. Mark Anthony McKoy (born December 10, 1961) is a Canadian retired track and field athlete. He won the gold medal in the 110 metres hurdles at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. He also won the 60 metres hurdles title at the 1993 IAAF World Indoor Championships, and the 110 metres hurdles titles at the Commonwealth Games in 1982 and 1986. Nicholas Paul McKoy (born 3 September 1986) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Following a match fixing scandal, McKoy was banned from the sport for life by FIFA in 2014. Playing career McKoy was born in Newham and began his career as a trainee with Wimbledon. Olivia Celia McKoy (born 1 December 1973) is a retired female shot put, weights, hammer, javelin, and discus thrower from Jamaica West Indies.
