McHenry High School
McHenry High School (MCHS) is a four-year public high school located in McHenry, Illinois, a far northwestern suburb of Chicago, Illinois. It is part of McHenry Community High School District 156, which operates two separate campuses, named The Upper and The Freshman Campus. The Freshman Campus opened in 1925 and currently enrolls 9th-grade students. The Upper Campus opened in 1968 and enrolls 10th-grade through 12th-grade students. The high school serves students in the communities of McHenry, Wonder Lake, Bull Valley, Holiday Hills, McCullom Lake, and Lakemoor. The current principal for both campuses in McHenry High School is Dr. Jeff Prickett, Ed.D since 2021. The school's colors are orange and black. Adopt-a-Highway
The Adopt-a-Highway program, and the very similar Sponsor-a-Highway, are promotional campaigns undertaken by U.S. states, provinces and territories of Canada, and some national governments outside North America to encourage volunteers to keep a section of a highway free from litter. In exchange for regular litter removal, an organization (such as Cub Scouts or Knights of Columbus) is allowed to have its name posted on a sign in the section of the highways they maintain. ''Power Rangers Time Force'' is a television series and the ninth season of the ''Power Rangers'' franchise, based on the 24th Super Sentai series ''Mirai Sentai Timeranger'', running for 40 half-hour episodes from February to November 2001. Jason Patrick Faunt (born November 20, 1974) is an American actor. He is best known for the role as Wesley Collins in ''Power Rangers Time Force'', as well as his descendant Alex, the former Red Time Force Ranger. Faunt grew up in the Chicago suburb of McHenry, Illinois. He attended McHenry High School East Campus. Due to his athletic prowess in high school, he used a partial baseball scholarship to attend the University of North Carolina at Asheville, where he earned a business degree. Alkaline Trio is an American punk rock band from Chicago, Illinois. Since 2001, the band has consisted of Matt Skiba (vocals, guitar), Dan Andriano (vocals, bass) and Derek Grant (drums, vocals). The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) is an association that regulates competition of interscholastic sports and some interscholastic activities at the high school level for the state of Illinois. It is a charter member of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). The IHSA regulates 14 sports for boys, 15 sports for girls, and eight co-educational non-athletic activities. Eric Edward Whitacre (born January2, 1970) is an American composer, conductor, and speaker best known for his choral music. In March2016, he was appointed as Los Angeles Master Chorale's first artist-in-residence at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Early life Whitacre was born in Reno, Nevada, to Ross and Roxanne Whitacre.
