Bobby L. McCray, Jr. (born August 8, 1981) is an American former college and professional football player who was a defensive end for seven seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Florida. Nikki Kesangane McCray-Penson (born December 17, 1971) is the former head coach of the Mississippi State Bulldogs women's basketball team and a former professional women's basketball player. She played in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) for eight seasons. Tim McCray (born August 20, 1960 in Waycross, Georgia) was a Canadian Football League running back for the Ottawa Rough Riders from 1984 through 1985, and for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1986 through 1990. He was an All-Star in 1989, the same year the Roughriders won the 77th Grey Cup. In 1989, Tim won his first Grey Cup and was selected to the All-West and All-CFL All-Star team for the first time. He established career highs in all offensive categories as well as leading the CFL and breaking the Roughriders record for all-purpose yardage in the season with 2,684 yards. Tim became the sixth Roughrider to break the 1,000-rushing-yard mark with 1,285 yards rushing. Tim placed second in the club with 75 receptions for 749 yards. Tim also led the Roughriders in kick-off returns with 650 yards on 29 returns for a 22.4 average. Rube McCray
Ruben North McCray (June 13, 1904 – November 20, 1972) was the head football, men's basketball, and baseball coach at the College of William & Mary. He also served as their athletic director. Later in life he became a community leader in Lake Waccamaw, North Carolina, winning the state's top Civilian award for "outstanding service." McCray came to William & Mary in 1939 when Carl Voyles became head football coach. McCray's primary football responsibility was recruiting and working with the freshmen. He became head football coach in 1944, serving through the 1950 season and compiling a 45–22 record. He is second all-time in school history for career coaching wins behind Jimmye Laycock. Rodney Duncan McCray (born September 13, 1963) is an American former professional baseball player who is best known for crashing through an outfield fence attempting to make a catch. He played mostly in the minors, but also made it to the majors with the Chicago White Sox and New York Mets from 1990 to 1992. Early life and career Born in Detroit, McCray's family moved west while he was still a child. He enrolled at University High in Los Angeles, then attended West Los Angeles Junior College and Santa Monica Junior College. The speedy outfielder was drafted in the first round by the Chicago White Sox in 1982 and then by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1983, but opted to stay in school. Rodney Earl McCray (born August 29, 1961) is an American former basketball player. A 6'7" small forward, he spent 10 seasons (1983–93) in the National Basketball Association (NBA), tallying 9,014 career points and 5,087 career rebounds. College career McCray attended the University of Louisville and was a key member of the Cardinals team that won the 1980 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship. His college teammates included his brother, Scooter McCray, as well as Darrell Griffith and Derek Smith. Prentice Marcellus McCray, Jr. (born March 1, 1951 in Los Angeles, California) is a former American football safety in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the 8th round of the 1973 NFL Draft after playing collegiately at Arizona State. He was cut by Detroit during training camp in 1973 and did not play that entire year. The follow spring, the New England Patriots signed him as a free agent. Lane McCray (born April 13, 1962) is an American singer, songwriter and rapper best known for fronting the famous '90s group La Bouche. He was stationed at various military installations around the globe with the United States Air Force. As an all-around entertainer in the US, Lane performed in regional musical theater productions of West Side Story, A Chorus Line, Tom Foolery, Sophisticated Ladies and La Bohème.
