Charles Joseph McBride (10 April 1925 – 3 October 2013) was a New Zealand rugby league player who represented New Zealand. Early life McBride was born in Greymouth. Charles McBride
Charles McBride (sometimes known as Charles McBryde; 1853 – 17 December 1903) was a Scottish sculptor active in the second half of the 19th century. Life McBride was born in Edinburgh in June 1853. He lived at 8 Hope Street just off Charlotte Square, facing his stone-yard at 7 Hope Street Lane (now built over). He died in December 1903. He is buried in the northern extension of Dean Cemetery in western Edinburgh. His grave is on the south side of the north path, towards the centre of the path, in the second row back. It holds a fine bronze head depicting McBride, carved by Henry Snell Gamley. Catherine Alexandra McBride, (formerly McBride-Chang), was formerly the Choh-Ming Li Professor of Developmental Psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) specializing in the acquisition of early literacy skills. Brian Edward McBride (born 1970 in Irving, Texas) is a musician best known as one half of the duo Stars of the Lid. He has also released two solo albums, ''When The Detail Lost Its Freedom'' and ''The Effective Disconnect'' on Kranky using his own name. McBride moved to Austin, Texas in 1990 where he met Adam Wiltzie, forming Stars of the Lid in the early 1990s. He also worked with the now defunct Pilot Ships. William McBride (May 10, 1945 – December 22, 2012) was an American lawyer and politician. A member of the Democratic Party, he challenged Jeb Bush for Florida governor in the 2002 gubernatorial election. Bush won by a 56 to 43 percent margin, making him the first Republican governor of Florida to serve two terms.
