The Short Mayo Composite was a piggy-back long-range seaplane/flying boat combination produced by Short Brothers to provide a reliable long-range air transport service to North America and, potentially, to other distant places in the British Empire and the Commonwealth. Development Short Brothers had built the Empire flying boats which were capable of operating long range routes across the British Empire but could only attempt the trans-Atlantic route by replacing passenger and mail-carrying space with extra fuel. Stephen Coulter
Stephen Coulter (born 1913/14) was an English novelist, journalist, and, as James Mayo, the author of several spy and adventure thrillers. His series character Charles Hood, a James Bond clone, is an art-loving British spy. Coulter was also friends with Bond creator Ian Fleming. Both men had served in Royal Navy Intelligence during World War II, became reporters, Reuters correspondents and both eventually wrote for the ''Sunday Times''. Meo (pronounced as ''may-o'' or ''mev''), also called Mewati, is an ethnic group from the Mewat Muslim Rajput community of north-western India which includes the Nuh district (previously Mewat) in Haryana and parts of adjacent Alwar district and Bharatpur district in Rajasthan. Mayo College
Mayo College (informally Mayo) is a boys-only independent boarding school in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India. It was founded in 1875 by Richard Bourke, 6th Earl of Mayo, who was the Viceroy of India from 1869 to 1872. This makes it one of the oldest Public school (United Kingdom), public boarding schools in India. The principal is Lt. Gen. (Retd) Surendra Kulkarni, who has occupied the post since January 2015 as the 17th principal.The school houses 800 pupils aged between 9 and 18.
