"Maybe Tomorrow" is the second single released by New Zealand band Goldenhorse from their debut triple platinum selling number-one album, '' Riverhead''. The song, written by Geoff Maddock, has a laid-back guitar based tune and is a song about how that ''"maybe tomorrow, all of your sorrow ...will fade away in the air"''. The song was released in 2003 and received major airplay with the single reaching #10 on RIANZ single charts. The song garnered huge popularity, reaching the #10 position on four occasions. Goldenhorse
Goldenhorse are a pop band from New Zealand. Release Goldenhorse's debut album ''Riverhead'' was released in October 2002, to a small fanfare. But over the next 18 months various singles from the album started to be played on the radio. The band played live throughout New Zealand continuously and sales of the record climbed slowly then steadily and in August 2004 the album reached no.1 on the national charts. In 2010, Goldenhorse founding member Ben King debuted his new musical project Grand Rapids. Grand Rapids released their debut album Faintheartedness in April 2011. Three versions were released of this album; the original in 2002, a limited edition 2-CD version in 2003, Retrieved 15 December 2022 froDiscogs and a new edition released in 2004. Interislander
Interislander is a road and rail ferry service across New Zealand's Cook Strait, between Wellington in the North Island and Picton in the South Island. It is owned and operated by state-owned rail operator KiwiRail. Three roll-on roll-off (RORO) vessels operate the route, taking about three hours to complete the crossing. The inter-island rail ferry service began in August 1962 by the New Zealand Railways Department (NZR). The service primarily provided a RORO rail link between its North and South Island networks, allowing NZR to compete directly with coastal shipping companies for inter-island freight. Mount Eden Prisons consists of two separate facilities in the Auckland, New Zealand suburb of Mount Eden — the Mount Eden Prison and the Mount Eden Corrections Facility. History The original Mount Eden prison was a military stockade built in 1856. It became Auckland's main prison when the old city jail on the corner of Queen and Victoria Streets was demolished in 1865. The stone wall and the foundations were completed in 1872, the building proper was commenced in 1882 and finished in 1917. Intended to house 220 prisoners, it was designed by Pierre Finch Martineau Burrows and resembles Dartmoor Prison in England. Ahmed Zaoui ( ar, أحمد الزاوي) is an Algerian member of the Islamic Salvation Front. He arrived in New Zealand on 4 December 2002 where he sought refugee status.
