Maybe (Emma Bunton Song)
"Maybe" is a song by English singer Emma Bunton from her second solo studio album, '' Free Me'' (2004). Containing bossa nova influences, the song was written by Bunton and Yak Bondy and produced by Mike Peden. "Maybe" was released on 13 October 2003 as the album's second single and entered the top 40 on various record charts. Bunton performed an edit of the song as her solo performance on The Return of the Spice Girls tour. Production The unusual inspiration behind the song was a soundtrack album of 1970s German porn music; Bunton and her collaborators "found some ideas out of that". She described the process as "mad" and "hilarious", while noting the style of the finished song is reminiscent of its origins. Emma Lee Bunton (born 21 January 1976) is an English singer, songwriter, actress, and media personality. She rose to fame in the 1990s as a member of the girl group Spice Girls, in which she was nicknamed Baby Spice. Paul Turner (born 11 March 1968) is English musician who has been the bassist of the jazz-funk band Jamiroquai since 2005. He has also performed with Annie Lennox since 2002. Biography Paul Turner was born in March 1968 in London. As a child turner listened to soul singers such as Ruby Turner and Edwin Starr. Nicholas Ingman (born 29 April 1948) is an English arranger, composer and conductor in the commercial music field. His collaborators include Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Björk, and the British X-factor. Born and educated in London, Ingman moved to the US at the age of seventeen to study at the Berklee College of Music and the New England Conservatory, both in Boston. After returning to London, he took a postgraduate course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His first job was as assistant arranger with record producer Norrie Paramor. Peter Dean Gordeno (born 20 February 1964) is an English songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, who has also been a live and session musician. Since 1998, he has toured with Depeche Mode. He performs keyboard parts in lieu of Alan Wilder, as well as occasional backing vocals and bass guitar.
