Maxwell Aitken, 3rd Baron Beaverbrook
Maxwell William Humphrey Aitken, 3rd Baron Beaverbrook (born 29 December 1951), is a British peer and politician. Family Maxwell Aitken is the grandson of The 1st Baron Beaverbrook and the only son of Sir Max Aitken, by his third marriage to Violet de Trafford. He was educated at Charterhouse and Pembroke College, Cambridge, and the Royal College of Defence Studies. He married Susan Angela More O'Ferrall, a member of an aristocratic Irish family and granddaughter of Sir Henry Mather-Jackson, 6th Bt., on 19 July 1974. ''The Right Honourable'' ( abbreviation: ''Rt Hon.'' or variations) is an honorific style traditionally applied to certain persons and collective bodies in the United Kingdom, the former British Empire and the Commonwealth of Nations. Air Vice-Marshal Ranald Torquil Ian Munro, (born 1960) is the General Counsel for Lombard International Assurance, a life insurance company; he was a senior officer in the Army Reserve before transferring to the Royal Auxiliary Air Force. Career Civilian Educated at Merchiston Castle School, Middlesex Polytechnic and the Polytechnic of Central London, Munro trained as a barrister at the Inns of Court School of Law and was called to the bar in 1986 before becoming a senior prosecutor at the Crown Prosecution Service. Baron Beaverbrook
Baron Beaverbrook, of Beaverbrook in the Province of New Brunswick in the Dominion of Canada and of Cherkley in the County of Surrey, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1917 for the prominent media owner and politician Sir Max Aitken, 1st Baronet. He had already been created a baronet, of Cherkley in the County of Surrey, on 3 July 1916. When Aitken died, his son disclaimed the title three days later, stating that "there shall only be one Lord Beaverbrook in my lifetime". Since 1985, the titles are held by the latter's son, the third Baron. The first Baron Beaverbrook's daughter Janet Gladys Aitken was the mother of John Edward Aitken Kidd, who is the father of Jemma Wellesley, Marchioness of Douro, and Jodie Kidd. The British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC) is an exclusive invitation-only members club for racecar drivers who are judged to have achieved success in the upper levels of motor sport for a number of seasons. Peter Cory
Peter deCarteret Cory, (October 25, 1925 – April 7, 2020) was a puisne judge of the Supreme Court of Canada, from 1989 to 1999. Early life and education Born in Windsor, Ontario, the son of Andrew and Mildred (Beresford Howe) Cory, he was educated at the University of Western Ontario (Assumption) receiving his BA in 1947 and at Osgoode Hall Law School receiving his law degree in 1950. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1950. Career As a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force, he served overseas with 6th Bomber Group during World War II, flying many combat missions. He was appointed to the Queen's Counsel in 1963. He practised law with Holden, Murdoch and was elected a Bencher of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1971. Cory was appointed to the Supreme Court of Ontario in 1974, the Court of Appeal for Ontario in 1981 and the Supreme Court of Canada on February 1, 1989.
