Maxim Rysanov
Maxim Rysanov (born 1978) is a Ukrainian violist and conductor. Rysanov was born in Kramatorsk, and studied at the Central Special Music School in Moscow and later at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. In 2000 he won the Gold Medal of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Rysanov won the Gramophone Award as Young Artist of the Year in 2008 and was a BBC New Generation Artist from 2007 to 2009. He is also a laureate of the Geneva (2005), Lionel Tertis (2003), and Valentino Bucchi (1995) competitions. As a soloist, Rysanov has worked with orchestras and conductors world-wide. Rysanov performed his own transcription of Tchaikovsky's '' Variations on a Rococo Theme'', Op. 33, at the last night of the BBC Proms in 2010.BBC PromsArchive Retrieved 22 March 2014. Kramatorsk
Kramatorsk ( uk, Краматорськ, translit=Kramatorsk ) is a city and the administrative centre of Kramatorsk Raion in the northern portion of Donetsk Oblast, in eastern Ukraine. Prior to 2020, Kramatorsk was a City of regional significance (Ukraine), city of oblast significance. Since October 11, 2014 Kramatorsk has been the provisional seat of Donetsk Oblast, following the events surrounding the War in Donbas (2014–2022), war in Donbas. Sievierodonetsk had a similar status for Luhansk Oblast until the Battle of Sievierodonetsk (2022), fall of Sievierodonetsk to Russian and LPR forces in June 2022. ''Gramophone'' is a magazine published monthly in London, devoted to classical music, particularly to reviews of recordings. It was founded in 1923 by the Scottish author Compton Mackenzie who continued to edit the magazine until 1961. It was acquired by Haymarket in 1999. In 2013 the Mark Allen Group became the publisher. The magazine presents the Gramophone Awards each year to the classical recordings which it considers the finest in a variety of categories. Giovanni Battista Guadagnini (often shortened to G. B. Guadagnini; 23 June 1711 – 18 September 1786) was an Italian luthier, regarded as one of the finest craftsmen of string instruments in history. Reprint with new introduction by Stewart Pollins, Dover Books, 2012. He is widely considered the third greatest maker after Antonio Stradivari and Giuseppe Guarneri "del Gesù". The Guadagnini family was known for their violins, guitars and mandolins. Muhai Tang
Muhai Tang (; born 1949 in Shanghai) is a Chinese conductor. He is the youngest son of celebrated Chinese film director Tang Xiaodan and brother of painter and poet Tang Muli. Tang initially learned music with his parents, and later studied composition and conducting at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, receiving his diploma in both. He furthered his studies in conducting with Hermann Michael at the Hochschule für Musik in Munich, Germany. His international career started when Herbert von Karajan invited him to conduct the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra during the 1983-1984 season. This invitation was later renewed.
