Max Walscheid
Maximilian Richard "Max" Walscheid (born 13 June 1993) is a German cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Walscheid was born in Neuwied. On 23 January 2016, he was one of the six members of who were hit by a car which drove into on-coming traffic while they were training in Spain. All riders were in stable condition. In August 2018, he was named in the startlist for the Vuelta a España. In August 2020, he was named in the startlist for the 2020 Tour de France. During the 2021 Tour de France he won a Wheelie contest which the YouTube channel Tour de Tietema hosted. The wheelie contest was repeated in the 2022 Tour de France during the first rest day and he won thanks to a wheelie of 1420 meters. Rund Um Köln
The Rund um Köln is a classic cycling race around the German city of Cologne. Since 2005 it is part of the UCI Europe Tour, being organised as 1.1 race (in 2007 the race was categorised as 1.HC). It is one of the oldest cycling races still running in Germany – where media-driven hostility towards professional cycling in the wake of repeated doping scandals has severely weakened the economic structure and viability of the sport. The German National Road Race Championship is a cycling race organized by the German Cycling Federation. The event was established in 1910, with the women's championship starting in 1968. 2022 Tour De France
The 2022 Tour de France was the 109th edition of the Tour de France. It started in Copenhagen, Denmark on 1 July 2022 and ended with the final stage on the Champs-Élysées, Paris on 24 July 2022. Denmark's Jonas Vingegaard () won the general classification for the first time. Two-time defending champion Tadej Pogačar () finished in second place, and former winner Geraint Thomas () finished third. This was the first Tour since 1989 in which each of the three podium finishers had made the podium on a previous occasion. The race began in Copenhagen before returning to France. Wout van Aert of controlled the lead for much of the first week until Pogačar seized control of the race and won two consecutive stages. Bas Tietema
Bas Tietema (born 29 January 1995) is a Dutch former cyclist, who competed as a professional from 2017 to 2018 and again from 2022 to 2023. Career Tietema originally played football in his childhood, but began cycling in 2010. After a fairly successful junior and under-23 career, Tietema retired from competition in 2019 due to skin allergies and loss of motivation. He then started a YouTube channel known as ''Tour de Tietema'', where he uploads cycling videos with friends Josse Wester and Devin van der Wiel. As of May 2022, the channel has more than 250,000 subscribers. In 2021, the group started an amateur team known as the Tour de Tietema Cycling Team, as a challenge to attempt to win local races. Tietema gained back his desire to race, and then came in contact with UCI ProTeam after reportedly seeing improvements in his fitness. In vehicle acrobatics, a wheelie, or wheelstand, is a vehicle maneuver in which the front wheel or wheels come off the ground due to sufficient torque being applied to the rear wheel or wheels, or rider motion relative to the vehicle. The 2021 Tour de France was the 108th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's three grand tours. Originally planned for the Danish capital of Copenhagen, the start of the 2021 Tour (known as the ) was transferred to Brest because of the COVID-19 pandemic, with Copenhagen hosting four matches in the UEFA Euro 2020, which had also been rescheduled to 2021 because of the pandemic. The 2020 Tour de France was the 107th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's three Grand Tour (cycling), Grand Tours. Originally scheduled to start on 27 June 2020, it was postponed until 29 August 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in France.
