Maurie Dunstan
Maurie "Mocha" Dunstan (25 March 1929 – 17 May 1991) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Dunstan had been on Collingwood's radar since his late teens but was only convinced by the club to join them after spending two seasons with Preston in the Victorian Football Association. During his early career at Collingwood, the young centre half-forward was also serving an apprenticeship in an engineering unit of the Australian Army. Although he missed the first four rounds of the 1951 VFL season, Dunstan topped Collingwood's goal-kicking with 40 goals, including a bag of eight against Hawthorn at Glenferrie Oval. He was their top goal-kicker again in 1952, when he kicked 43 goals, but was goal-less in the finals series and finished on the losing team in the 1952 VFL Grand Final. Northern Bullants
The Preston Football Club, which trades and plays as the Northern Bullants, is a long-established Australian rules football club based in Preston, Victoria, Preston that plays in the Victorian Football League (VFL). It plays its home games at the Preston City Oval. The club was established in 1882 as the Preston Football Club. The club participated in the Victorian Football League, Victorian Football Association (VFA) between 1903 and 1911, and then since 1926. After World War II, the club was known as the Bullants, and wore a plain red guernsey with a white monogram. The club later became the Northern Bullants. Appendicitis
Appendicitis is inflammation of the appendix. Symptoms commonly include right lower abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and decreased appetite. However, approximately 40% of people do not have these typical symptoms. Severe complications of a ruptured appendix include widespread, painful inflammation of the inner lining of the abdominal wall and sepsis. Appendicitis is caused by a blockage of the hollow portion of the appendix. This is most commonly due to a calcified "stone" made of feces. Inflamed lymphoid tissue from a viral infection, parasites, gallstone, or tumors may also cause the blockage. This blockage leads to increased pressures in the appendix, decreased blood flow to the tissues of the appendix, and bacterial growth inside the appendix causing inflammation. Ian Dunstan
Ian Dunstan (born 28 February 1955) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Footscray Football Club and the North Melbourne Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Originally recruited from Fish Creek in South Gippsland, he is the son Maurie Dunstan and brother of Graeme Dunstan, both former Collingwood players. He was a tallish ruck-rover with great ability to win the ball and great skill at kicking straight in the direction of goal. His early years with Footscray were nonetheless patchy, and he lost his place in the senior side after a slump in 1974 and again in 1976 – though he returned to play well in the last round draw with Carlton and in his only final against Geelong a week later. Graeme Dunstan (footballer)
Graeme Dunstan (born 29 December 1952) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and Norwood in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Dunstan made appearances in three seasons for Collingwood, the club his father Maurie had played with. He also had a younger brother, Ian, who played at Footscray and North Melbourne. He made his VFL debut in Collingwood's 1972 semi final against St Kilda, replacing an injured Peter McKenna at full-forward. It was his only game of the year but in 1973 he was selected more regularly and played 14 times. In 1974 he kicked 21 goals from 16 games and played in an elimination final. At the end of the season he transferred to Norwood. This meant that both Dunstan's first and last league games were finals. He was also fortunate enough to play in 26 wins, from just 31 games.
