Maurice Tyler
Maurice Michael Tyler (born July 19, 1950) was an American football defensive back in the National Football League (NFL) for the Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers, Detroit Lions, New York Jets, and New York Giants. He also spent the 1983 season with the Chicago Blitz and the Denver Gold and the 1984 season with the San Antonio Gunslingers of the United States Football League (USFL). The San Antonio Gunslingers were a professional American football team based in San Antonio, Texas, that played in the United States Football League (USFL) in 1984 and 1985. Owned by oil magnate Clinton Manges, the team played its home games in Alamo Stadium and its colors were kelly green, royal blue, silver, and white. Rick Neuheisel was the team's quarterback. History Manges had previously owned the San Antonio Bulls in the American Football Association, a lower-budget professional league that operated from 1981 to 1983. Under Manges, the Bulls were successful, appearing in the AFA's final championship (but losing in a shutout to the Carolina Chargers). Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School (commonly referred to as "Mervo" or "MerVo-Tech") is a public high school in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is one of the two premiere vocational-technical high schools of the city, the other being Carver Vocational-Technical High School, on Presstman Street, on the other side of the city in West Baltimore. Mervo was opened in 1953, established as a vocational-technical school that is named after Ottmar Mergenthaler (1854-1899), the inventor of the Linotype typesetting machine which revolutionized the printing and newspaper industries. The school, according to its website, uses its curriculum to "educate students to function in an industrial and challenging technological society."
