Maude Wayne
Maude Wayne (born Maude Wehn) was an American film actress who was active in Hollywood during the silent era. Biography Maude was born in Beatrice, Nebraska, to Louis Wehn and Maria McCathern. She was the youngest of the couple's children, and her brother Richard Wayne also became an actor. After starting as an extra in Triangle productions, she began appearing in Keystone films around 1917, often as one of Mack Sennett's bathing beauties. Following a few years spent in comedies, she later transitioned to heavier, vampier, more dramatic roles at Paramount, sometimes playing the leading lady to Rudolph Valentino. She retired from acting in the late 1920s before she married fellow actor Johnnie Walker. Johnnie Walker (January 7, 1894 – December 5, 1949), sometimes credited as Johnny Walker, was an American actor and producer popular from the silent era to the late 1930s. ''The Silent Partner'' is a 1923 American silent drama film produced by Famous Players-Lasky and released through Paramount Pictures. It was based on a series of articles from the ''Saturday Evening Post'' by Maximilian Foster and directed by Charles Maigne. Leatrice Joy and Owen Moore star in the feature. The film is a remake of the 1917 film of the same name. Plot As described in a film magazine review, Lisa Coburn is a young wife who has seen the folly of living on all that her husband earns when he is on Wall Street. She determines, unknown to her husband George, to prepare against any coming disaster. The husband's employee is infatuated with the young wife and plans to ruin the husband and obtain her. His plans succeed, but he fails to win the wife. Instead, she goes to the husband, who has left her in anger and haste, and wins him back by convincing him of the truth of her story. ''The Song of Love'' (also known as ''Le chant d'amour'' or ''Love Song'') is a 1914 painting by Italian metaphysical painter Giorgio de Chirico. It is one of the most famous works by Chirico and an early example of the surrealist style, though it was painted ten years before the movement was "founded" by André Breton in 1924. Though produced in 1921, the film was not released in the United States due to Arbuckle's involvement in the Virginia Rappe death scandal; it received its first release in Finland in 1924.
