Matyas Szabo
Matyas Szabo (born 19 August 1991) is a Romanian-born Hungarian-German fencer, team World champion in 2014. Career Szabo is the eldest son of Vilmos Szabó, bronze medallist at the 1984 Summer Olympics in men's team sabre, and Réka Zsófia Lázár, bronze medallist at the 1992 Summer Olympics and silver medallist at the 1996 Summer Olympics in women's team foil, both from Brașov and members of the Hungarian minority in Romania. When he was two years old, his parents moved to Germany and became fencing coaches at TSV Bayer Dormagen. Szabo began fencing at the age of four because his parents' occupation had him practically live on the piste. He chose sabre, his father's weapon, because the only foilists at TSV Dormagen were girls. Vincent Anstett
Vincent Anstett (born 26 July 1982) is a French sabre fencer. Anstett's greatest accomplishment is winning the gold medal in the sabre team event at the 2006 World Fencing Championships after beating Ukraine in the final. He accomplished this with his teammates Nicolas Lopez, Julien Pillet and Boris Sanson. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, Anstett was a substitute for the same teammates that Anstett won the 2006 World Fencing Championships with, Nicolas Lopez, Julien Pillet and Boris Sanson, defeating the US in the final. Áron Szilágyi (; born 14 January 1990) is a Hungarian right-handed sabre fencer. Szilágyi is a 2018 team European champion, 2015 individual European champion, 2007 team world champion, and 2022 individual world champion. A four-time Olympian, Szilágyi is a three-time individual Olympic champion and 2021 team Olympic bronze medalist. The FIE Fencing World Cup is an international fencing competition held by the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime. Nikolász Iliász
Nikolász Iliász (born 3 November 1991) is a Hungarian sabre fencer, team bronze medallist at the 2009 World Championships and silver team medallist at the 2013 European Championships. Career Iliász first tried different sports and took up fencing in 2002 at Vasas SC in Budapest on the suggestion of his grandmother, who had practiced it. His first coach was György Gerevich, son of seven-time Olympic champion Aladár Gerevich, who also trained Olympic champion Áron Szilágyi. In 2007 he joined the cadet national team, with which he won a gold medal at the Cadet European Championships in Novi Sad and a silver medal at the Cadet European Championships in Prag.
