Mattie Larson
Mattie Larson (born May 20, 1992) is an American former artistic gymnast. She competed at the senior elite level from 2008 to 2010. Larson was the 2010 U.S. national champion on floor exercise. At that year's World Championships, she won a silver medal with the U.S. in the team competition. Larson then competed at UCLA from 2012 to 2014. Junior career 2006 Larson first qualified to junior international elite in July 2006 at the U.S. Classic, where she finished fifth all-around. Larson was supposed to compete at her first U.S. National Championships, but an injury forced her out of the competition. 2007 Larson returned to competition in 2007. She finished second all-around and first on vault at the WOGA Classic. She then finished third all-around at the U.S. Classic, qualifying once again to the National Championships. Gymnastics Floor
In gymnastics, the floor is a specially prepared exercise surface, which is considered an apparatus. It is used by both male and female gymnasts. The gymnastics event performed on the floor is called floor exercise. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is FX. A spring floor is used in all of gymnastics to provide more bounce, and also help prevent potential injuries to lower extremity joints of gymnasts due to the nature of the apparatus, which includes the repeated pounding required to train it. The vault is an artistic gymnastics apparatus which gymnasts perform on, as well as the skill performed using that apparatus. Vaulting is also the action of performing a vault. Lawrence "Larry" Gerard Nassar (born August 16, 1963) is an American former physician and convicted child rapist. For 18 years, he was the team doctor of the United States women's national gymnastics team. He used his employment as the team's doctor to exploit, deceive, and sexually assault hundreds of children and young women.
