Matti Puhakka
Matti Juhani Puhakka (7 February 1945 – 6 October 2021) was a Finnish politician representing the Social Democrats. Puhakka was born in Eno in February 1945. Before his political career, from 1965 to 1975, he worked as maintenance repairman in the Enso Gutzeit factory in Uimaharju. He was Finland's Minister of Transport from 1983 to 1984 and Minister of Social Affairs and Health from 1984 to 1987 in the Sorsa IV Cabinet. In the Holkeri Cabinet (1987–1991) he was Minister of Labor Minister of Labour (in British English) or Labor (in American English) is typically a cabinet-level position with portfolio responsibility for setting national labour standards, labour dispute mechanisms, employment, workforce participation, traini ... from 1987 to 1991. Eno, Finland
Eno is a former municipality of Finland, now part of Joensuu. It is located in the province of Eastern Finland and is part of the North Karelia region. The municipality had a population of 6,764 (as of January 1, 2006) and covered an area of 1,088.25 km² of which 149.30 km² was water. The population density was 6.2 inhabitants per km². Eno railway station is the first station north of Joensuu on the railway between Joensuu and Nurmes. The municipality was unilingually Finnish. The name ''Eno'' comes from the Karelian word, which means the center of the river, where the water flows most strongly. The beaver of the coat of arms on the triple hill refers to Majoinvaara in Eno, and the ax carried on its shoulder symbolizes deforestation and forestry. The coat of arms was designed by Ahti Hammar and approved by Eno's municipal council at its meeting on November 22, 1954. Kela (Finnish Institution)
Kela, abbr. from fi, Kansaneläkelaitos, sv, Folkpensionsanstalten (Fpa), en, The Social Insurance Institution (SII), is a Finnish government agency in charge of settling benefits under national social security programs. Kela was founded in 1937 to handle retirement pay. In the 1980s and 1990s, its role was expanded to handle other fields like child benefits, unemployment benefits, sickness benefits, health insurance and student financial aid. Kela benefits are funded from three national insurance funds administered by national government: the national pension fund, the national health insurance fund, and the general social security fund. The tax authority (Vero) collects contributions to these funds from general taxation on income, charged to both employers and employees. Rates for 2021 are available on the Vero web site.
