Matthew Otten
Matthew Otten (born December 8, 1981) is an American retired basketball player and current coach. He last held the position of head coach of Donar. Otten holds a Dutch passport as well and played the shooting guard position during his career. Professional career Otten was part of the GasTerra Flames in 2010 and 2011, the years in which the club won a Dutch cup and national championship. In the 2011–12 season, Otten played for Mersey Tigers in the United Kingdom. In 2012 Otten returned to the Netherlands in 2012, when he signed with Rotterdam Basketbal College. After one year with the club, his contract was renewed. His numbers rose in his second season in Rotterdam, as Otten averaged 13.4 points per game compared to 9.0 the previous season. Feyenoord Basketball, for sponsorship reasons known as Zeeuw & Zeeuw Feyenoord Basketball, is a Dutch professional basketball club based in Rotterdam. The team plays in the BNXT League and plays its home games at the Topsportcentrum next to De Kuip in Rotterdam. The 2010–11 NBB Cup was the 43rd season of the Dutch NBB Cup. The championship game was played in the Topsportcentrum in Almere. NBB Cup
The Basketball Cup, formerly the NBB Cup ( nl, NBB-Beker), is an annual cup competition for Dutch basketball teams organised by the Basketball Nederland. Every team in the Netherlands can participate by signing up for the preliminary rounds. Professional basketball teams from the Dutch Basketball League (DBL) enter the tournament in the fourth round. From 1977 until 1990 professional teams were not allowed to participate in the competition. The tournament is organized in a knock-out format, with quarter- and semi-finals being two-legged series while the final is played in a single game. 2009–10 Dutch Basketball League
The 2009–10 Dutch Basketball League (DBL) was the 50th season of the Dutch Basketball League, the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands. GasTerra Flames dominated throughout the regular season and lost just three games. Zorg en Zekerheid Leiden player Danny Gibson was league top scorer and won the Most Valuable Player award.
