Matthew Elliott (footballer)
Matthew Stephen Elliott (born 1 November 1968) is a former professional footballer, most notably as a defender for Leicester City. Born in England, he was never selected to play for them on an international level; he instead played for the Scotland national team, for whom he was eligible due to his Scottish grandmother. He captained Leicester to victory in the 2000 Football League Cup Final scoring both goals. Club career Elliott began his career in non-league football with Leatherhead and Epsom & Ewell, before getting his first taste of professional football with Charlton Athletic. Unable to break into the Charlton first-team, he moved to Torquay United within a year. He then worked his way up the ladder, signing for Scunthorpe United in March 1992, moving on to Oxford United in November 1993, and finally getting his chance in the Premiership when he was signed by Leicester City in early 1997 for a transfer fee of £1.6 million. 1997 Football League Cup Final
The 1997 Football League Cup Final was played between Middlesbrough and Leicester City. The first game at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, 6 April 1997 ended in a 1–1 draw after extra time. Fabrizio Ravanelli opened the scoring only for Leicester's Emile Heskey to equalise in the last minute of extra time. Heskey was fortunate to be on the field having committed what was a bookable foul on Boro captain Nigel Pearson after already being booked. Dean Edwards (footballer)
Dean Stephen Edwards (born 25 February 1962) is an English former professional footballer. After starting his career at Shrewsbury Town, he played for Kuopion Palloseura and Vaasan Palloseura in Finland, before returning to England to play for Telford United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Exeter City, Torquay United and Northampton Town, scoring for Torquay in two different Wembley appearances. After ending his career at Sliema Wanderers and Hong Kong Rangers, he managed several clubs in non-league football. Playing career Edwards was born in Wolverhampton and began his career as an apprentice with Shrewsbury Town, turning professional in February 1980. The 1998 FIFA World Cup was the 16th FIFA World Cup, the football world championship for men's national teams. The finals tournament was held in France from 10 June to 12 July 1998. The country was chosen as the host nation by FIFA for the second time in the history of the tournament, defeating Morocco in the bidding process. San Marino National Football Team

Allan Johnston
Allan Johnston (born 14 December 1973) is a Scottish football player and coach, who was most recently the manager of Queen of the South. Johnston started his professional playing career with Heart of Midlothian and then followed on to French club Rennes before a spell in English football with Sunderland before returning to Scotland with Rangers. Johnston then returned to England with Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday. Johnston returned to Scotland and played out his playing career with Kilmarnock, St Mirren and Queen of the South. Stephen Andrew Guppy (born 29 March 1969) is an English football coach and former professional footballer who now coaches at Nashville SC. A winger, he started his senior career with Wycombe Wanderers in 1989, over a five-year period he made around 200 appearances for the club, helping Wycombe win promotion to the Football League. Earning a move to Newcastle United in 1994, later in the year he transferred to Port Vale. After three successful years at Vale he signed to Leicester City in 1997.
