Matthew Collins (Australian Footballer)
Matthew Collins (born 2 February 1977) is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the Australian Football League. He was well known for a large distinct Indian tattoo on his shoulder. He played originally for the Macleod Football Club in Victoria. AFL career Adelaide Collins was drafted at pick 38 from Northern U18 where he was regarded as a promising running defender. Collins broke his leg playing for North Adelaide in the SANFL and missed out on AFL football in his first year. He made his AFL debut in round 10 1996, playing 8 games in his debut season. Groin injury hampered his 1997 season managing 6 games late in the season. He was omitted before finals and missed out on playing in the Crows first premiership. Matthew Collins (Welsh Footballer)
Matthew Jeffrey Collins (born 31 March 1986) is a Welsh footballer who plays for Hungerford Town. He has represented Wales at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 levels, and plays as a central midfielder and also as a right back. Career Born in Merthyr Tydfil, Collins started his career at Swindon Town but Jean Tigana and his Fulham scouts were impressed by him and he signed for the club in the summer of 2001 for a fee in excess of £250,000. Two years later, Collins signed his first professional contract with the club. During a pre season tour to Germany in the 2005–06 season, Collins sustained a hamstring injury, this was a start of a nightmare season as he had recurring hamstring tears which kept him out for an 18-month period. He did not break into the first team at Fulham and signed for League One side Swansea City on a free transfer in May 2007 on a two-year deal. Matthew Collins, is a professor at the University of Copenhagen, formerly as a Niels Bohr professor, and also holds a McDonald Chair in Palaeoproteomics at the University of Cambridge. Prior to joining Cambridge he was professor of biomolecular archaeology at the University of York where he founded BioArCh, a collaboration between the departments of biology, chemistry and archaeology (BioArCh: Biology Archaeology, Chemistry). Matthew John Collins (born 17 February 1970) is an Australian barrister. He practises predominantly in media law, particularly defamation, as well as constitutional and commercial law. He is best known for having acted in a number of high-profile defamation and free speech cases. In the Queen's Birthday honours list for 2019 he became a member of the Order of Australia (AM) for “significant service to the law, to legal standards, and to education.” He is a former President of the Australian Bar Association. Matthew Collings (born 1955) is a British art critic, writer, broadcaster, and artist. He is married to Emma Biggs, with whom he collaborates on art works. Education Born in London in 1955, Collings studied at Byam Shaw School of Art, and Goldsmiths College, both in London. Life and career He began his career working at ''Artscribe'' first in the production department in 1979 and later taking over as editor, filling that role from 1983 to 1987, bringing international relevance to the magazine. In 1987 he received a Turner Prize commendation for his work on Artscribe. Collings later moved into television working as a producer and presenter on the BBC ''The Late Show'' from 1989 to 1995.
