Deputy Prime Minister Of Italy
The Deputy Prime Minister of Italy, officially Vice-President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic (Italian language, Italian: ''Vicepresidente del Consiglio dei ministri della Repubblica Italiana''), is a senior member of the Council of Ministers (Italy), Italian Cabinet. Moreover, it is often colloquially known as ''Vicepremier''. The office of the Deputy Prime Minister is not a permanent position, existing only at the discretion of the Prime Minister of Italy, Prime Minister, who may appoint to other offices to give seniority to a particular Cabinet minister. The office is currently held by Matteo Salvini and Antonio Tajani under Giorgia Meloni's premiership. Though they will always have particular responsibilities in government, the Italian deputy prime minister, unlike analogous offices in some other nations, such as a vice-presidency, possesses no special constitutional powers as such, as their powers are solely defined by ordinary law, more specifically, by ...

Asylum Seeker
An asylum seeker is a person who leaves their country of residence, enters another country and applies for asylum (i.e., international protection) in that other country. An asylum seeker is an immigrant who has been forcibly displaced and might have fled their home country because of war or other factors harming them or their family. If their case is accepted, they become considered a refugee. The terms ''asylum seeker'', ''refugee'' and ''illegal immigrant'' are often confused. A person becomes an asylum seeker by making a formal application for the right to remain in another country and keeps that status until the application has been concluded. The relevant immigration authorities of the country of asylum determine whether the asylum seeker will be granted protection and become an officially recognized refugee or whether asylum will be refused and the asylum seeker becomes an illegal immigrant who may be asked to leave the country and may even be deported. In North Ameri ...

Illegal Immigration
Illegal immigration is the migration of people into a country in violation of the immigration laws of that country or the continued residence without the legal right to live in that country. Illegal immigration tends to be financially upward, from poorer to richer countries. Illegal residence in another country creates the risk of Immigration detention, detention, deportation, and/or other sanctions. Asylum seekers who are denied asylum may face impediment to expulsion if the home country refuses to receive the person or if new asylum evidence emerges after the decision. In some cases, these people are considered illegal aliens, and in others, they may receive a temporary residence permit, for example with reference to the principle of non-refoulement in the international Refugee Convention. The European Court of Human Rights, referring to the European Convention on Human Rights, has shown in a number of indicative judgments that there are enforcement barriers to expulsion t ...

League For Salvini Premier
Lega ( en, League), whose official name is Lega per Salvini Premier ( en, League for Salvini Premier; abbr. LSP or LpSP), is a right-wing populist political party in Italy, led by Matteo Salvini. The LSP is the informal successor of Lega Nord ( en, Northern League, LN) and, while sharing the latter's heartland in northern Italy, it is active all around the country. The LSP was founded in December 2017 as the sister party of the LN and as a replacement of Us with Salvini (NcS), the LN's previous affiliate in central and southern Italy. The early LSP aimed at offering LN's values and policies to the rest of the country. Some political commentators described it as a parallel party of the LN, with the aim of politically replacing it, also because of its statutory debt of €49 million. Since January 2020 the LN has become mostly inactive, being supplanted by the LSP. It came third in the 2018 general election and first in the 2019 European Parliament election. Like the LN, the LSP i ...

The party, founded by Matteo Salvini on 19 December 2014, was the sister party of Lega Nord (LN) for southern Italy, Lazio, and Sardinia (where the LN regional section was never recognised as one of its "national" sections, and where the party joined forces with the Sardinian Action Party, PSd'Az). Salvini was the party's president, Raffaele Volpi (a senator of Lega Nord) vice-president, while Angelo Attaguile, formerly a member of the Party of Sicilians, who was the first deputy to join the party, secretary and leader in Sicily. In the 2018 general election, NcS ran under the "Lega" umbrella alongside Lega Nord, the aforementioned PSd'Az and minor parties. More than 20 deputies and senators were elected outside the Centre-North. As of early 2019, the party seems no longer active. Since 2018, membership recruitment by the LN in the central and southern Italy has been made under the name of "L ...
