Matteo Contini (born 16 April 1980) is an Italian football coach and former defender. Playing career Milan He started his professional career in the A.C. Milan youth system. He was then farmed to Serie C1 teams Livorno (loan), SPAL (loan), Monza (co-ownership) and L'Aquila (co-ownership) between 1999–2003 and Serie B team Avellino in 2003–04 Serie B season. The 2008 UEFA Intertoto Cup was the last UEFA Intertoto Cup football tournament, the 14th to be organised by UEFA and the third since the competition's format was given a major overhaul. The Serie D () is the top level of semi-professional football in the country. The fourth tier of the Italian league system, the competition sits beneath the third professional league, Serie C. It is administered by the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti and is organized by the Roman ''Comitato Interregionale'' (Interregional Committee), a "league in the league" inside the LND. FIGC decided not to relegate the excess teams to regional championships.
