Matt Wells (American Football Coach)
Matthew Scribner Wells (born August 10, 1973) is an American football coach and former quarterback who most recently served as the head coach at Texas Tech University. Wells previously served as the offensive coordinator and then head coach at Utah State University, where he was named Mountain West conference coach of the year in 2013 and again in 2018. He was named head coach of Texas Tech on November 29, 2018. He is currently an offensive analyst under Brent Venables at Oklahoma. College playing career Wells was a redshirt freshman during Utah State's 1993 Las Vegas Bowl season. He played quarterback in 16 games during the 1994 and 1995 seasons at USU, passing for 2,013 yards and 11 touchdowns. Oklahoma Sooners Football
The Oklahoma Sooners football program is a college football team that represents the University of Oklahoma (variously "Oklahoma" or "OU"). Big West Conference
The Big West Conference (BWC) is an American collegiate athletic conference whose member institutions participate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. The conference was originally formed on July 1, 1969, as the Pacific Coast Athletic Association (PCAA), and in 1988 was renamed the Big West Conference. The conference stopped sponsoring college football after the 2000 season. Among the conference's 11 member institutions, 10 are located in California (with 9 located in Southern California alone) and one is located in Hawaii. All of the schools are public universities, with the California schools evenly split between the California State University and the University of California systems. Kyler Fackrell
Kyler Bruce Fackrell (born November 25, 1991) is an American football outside linebacker who is a free agent. He played high school football at Mesa High School in Mesa, Arizona before attending Utah State and playing for their football team on a scholarship. At Utah State, he was a four-year starter at linebacker where he was named to multiple All-Conference teams. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Early years Fackrell attended Mesa High School in Mesa, Arizona. He played linebacker, quarterback, and wide receiver for the Jackrabbits football team. 2014 UTEP Miners Football Team
The 2014 UTEP Miners football team represented the University of Texas at El Paso in the 2014 NCAA Division I FBS football season. This was the second year for head coach Sean Kugler both with UTEP and overall. They were a member of the West Division of Conference USA. The Miners played their home games in El Paso, Texas at the Sun Bowl Stadium. They finished the season 7–6, 5–3 in C-USA play to finish in a tie for second place in the West Division. 2014 New Mexico Bowl
The 2014 New Mexico Bowl was a college football bowl game that was played on December 20, 2014 at University Stadium in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The ninth annual New Mexico Bowl, it pitted the Utah State Aggies of the Mountain West Conference against the UTEP Miners of Conference USA. It was one of the 2014–15 bowl games that concluded the 2014 FBS football season. The game started at 12:20 p.m. MST and aired on ESPN. Jordan Lynch
Jordan Lynch (born October 3, 1990) is a former American football quarterback and running back. After playing college football at Northern Illinois, where he was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy in 2013, and going undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft, Lynch had stints with the Chicago Bears of the National Football League and Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. Heisman Trophy
The Heisman Memorial Trophy (usually known colloquially as the Heisman Trophy or The Heisman) is awarded annually to the most outstanding player in college football. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work. It is presented by the Heisman Trophy Trust in early December before the postseason bowl games. The Poinsettia Bowl was a post-season NCAA-sanctioned Football Bowl Subdivision college football bowl game played in San Diego, California, United States from 2005 to 2016. The game was originally played from 1952 to 1955 between military services teams; in 2005 it was re-created by the organizers of the Holiday Bowl. Gary Andersen
Gary Lee Andersen (born February 19, 1964) is an American football coach who was most recently head football coach at Utah State University. Andersen has also been the head football coach of Southern Utah (2003), Wisconsin (2013–2014), and Oregon State (2015–2017). The Toledo Rockets football team is a college football program in Division I FBS, representing the University of Toledo. The Rockets compete in the Mid-American Conference. Charles David Baldwin (born March 22, 1955) is an American football coach who is currently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Northern Colorado. Baldwin served as the head football coach at California State University, Northridge from 1995 to 1996 and at San Jose State University from 1997 to 2000.
