Matt Moore (January 8, 1888 – January 20, 1960) was an Irish-born American actor and director. He appeared in at least 221 motion pictures from 1912 to 1958. Biography Born in Fordstown Crossroads, County Meath, Ireland, he and his brothers, Tom, Owen, and Joe, and a sister Mary Moore (1890-1919), he emigrated to the United States as a steerage passenger on board the S.S. ''Anchoria'' and was inspected on Ellis Island in May 1896 . They all went on to successful movie careers. Once his brothers made a name for themselves, Moore made his debut in the role as the minister in the silent short ''Tangled Relations'' (1912) starring Florence Lawrence and Owen Moore. In 1913, Matt Moore had a prominent role in the "white slavery" drama, '' Traffic in Souls''. The Upsidedown is an American alternative rock band from Portland, Oregon, United States. The band released their debut album, '' Trust Electricity'', in 2004, and reissued it on vinyl in 2020. Matthew Cody Moore (born June 18, 1989) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Tampa Bay Rays, San Francisco Giants, Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers and Philadelphia Phillies and in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. Born in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Moore's family moved to Okinawa when he was seven and Edgewood, New Mexico in 2000. Although he had committed to play college baseball with the University of New Mexico, Moore chose to sign a professional contract with the Rays after they selected him in the 2007 MLB draft. He set multiple strikeout records for the Rays' farm system before making his major league debut in 2011. Donald Matthew Moore (born April 22, 1982) is an American politicial commentator and Republican political strategist who served as the 18th chairman of the South Carolina Republican Party from 2013 to 2017. For most of his two terms, he was the youngest state chairman in America's two major political parties. Early life, education, and early career Moore was born and raised in Tifton, Georgia.
