Matt Molchany
Matt Molchany (born July 3, 1980) is an American musician, audio engineer, and owner of Shards Recording Studio in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He is a member of indie rock band VoirVoir; past bands include Wheelie and Gertie Fox. After playing and touring as a musician, Molchany opened Silent Sound Studios in Allentown, PA and in 2017 founded Shards Recording Studio as a "creative sanctuary" in Bethlehem, PA. VoirVoir continues to perform, opening for bands such as The Flaming Lips, and touring with Slingshot Dakota. In 2016 VoirVoir was a featured band on "bandcamp daily," where their album was favorably described as "confident and fully realized, with the five-piece band touching on and tearing through classic melodic indie rock." Bethlehem is a city in Northampton and Lehigh Counties in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2020 census, Bethlehem had a total population of 75,781. Of this, 55,639 were in Northampton County and 19,343 were in Lehigh County. It is Pennsylvania's seventh most populous city. The Flaming Lips
The Flaming Lips are an American psychedelic rock band formed in 1983 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The band currently consists of Wayne Coyne (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Steven Drozd (guitars, keyboards, bass, drums, vocals), Derek Brown (keyboards, guitars, percussion), Matt Duckworth Kirksey (drums, percussion, keyboards) and Nicholas Ley (percussion, drums). Slingshot Dakota is an American rock band from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. History Slingshot Dakota formed in Long Island in 2003 as a three-piece, issuing their debut, ''Keener Sighs'', in 2004. At the time, the group was composed of Carly Comando, Pat Schramm (of the band Latterman) and Jeff Cunningham. In the spring of 2005, Schramm was replaced by Patterson. Brenda Kahn (born May 3, 1967) is an American singer-songwriter, poet and educator based in South Salem, New York, who is known for her poetic lyrics. Background Her career began in 1990, when her first album, ''Goldfish Don't Talk Back'', was released to critical acclaim. WDIY (88.1 FM) is a community public radio station licensed to Allentown, Pennsylvania, with studios in Bethlehem and transmitter atop South Mountain. The station is the NPR member for the Lehigh Valley of eastern Pennsylvania, and also serves parts of western New Jersey.
