Matt Lorito
Matt Lorito (born July 3, 1990) is a Canadian professional ice hockey winger who is currently playing under contract with the Grizzlys Wolfsburg of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Playing career College Lorito began his collegiate career for the Brown University Brown Bears during the 2011–12 season. During his freshman season, he played in 24 games, missing the first eight games of the season due to injury, where he recorded four goals and 13 assists. He was Named ECAC Rookie of the Week for his performances against Princeton and Quinnipiac. During the 2012–13 season in his sophomore season, Lorito recorded 22 goals and 15 assists in 36 games. Lorito was named to the Second Team All-ECAC team for his outstanding performance during the season. He finished the season as the Bears' leading scorer with 37 points, while also leading the team with eight power play goals, three game-winning goals, and sharing the lead with one short-handed goal. The Grand Rapids Griffins are a professional ice hockey, hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL) based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and play home games at Van Andel Arena. They are the AHL affiliate to the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League and are the 2013 Calder Cup playoffs, 2013 and 2017 Calder Cup playoffs, 2017 Calder Cup champions. Quinnipiac Bobcats Men's Ice Hockey
The Quinnipiac Bobcats men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents Quinnipiac University. The Bobcats are a member of ECAC Hockey. They play at the M&T Bank Arena in Hamden, Connecticut. History Quinnipiac College began sponsoring men's ice hockey as a varsity sport for the 1975–76 season. The program began as an independent team before joining ECAC 3 the following year. The program remained with the third-tier conference for over 20 years despite being a Division II school for much of that time. The Braves left ECAC 3 in 1997 and spent a year as a D-II independent before moving up to Division I as part of the university's transition to the top level. Matt Puempel
Matthew Puempel (born January 24, 1993) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is currently playing for the Augsburger Panther of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Puempel was selected 24th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators. Playing career Amateur Puempel's 2009–10 season was a noteworthy rookie OHL season. Playing for the Peterborough Petes, he led all OHL rookies in goals and points and was second on his team in scoring. His point totals landed him at 39th in overall league scoring and he won the Emms Family Award as well as the CHL Rookie of the Year award. In his second season with the Petes, he was hampered by a back injury just before the season and a bone chip on his hip that required surgery and ended his season prematurely. Albany Devils
The Albany Devils were a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). The top affiliate of the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League (NHL), the A-Devils played their home games at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York. The franchise started in 1998 as the expansion Lowell Lock Monsters and played their home games in Lowell, Massachusetts. The ECAC Hockey All-Tournament Team is an honor bestowed at the conclusion of the conference tournament to the players judged to have performed the best during the championship.
