Matt Brash (baseball)
Matthew Aurel Brash (born May 12, 1998) is a Canadian professional baseball pitcher for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2022. Amateur career Brash attended Bayridge Secondary School in Kingston, Ontario. Undrafted out of high school in 2016, he attended Niagara University in Lewiston, New York to play college baseball for the Purple Eagles. He was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the fourth round of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft. Professional career San Diego Padres Brash made his professional debut in 2019 with the Arizona League Padres and Fort Wayne TinCaps, posting a combined 1.69 ERA over innings. Brash did not play in 2020 due to the cancellation of the Minor League Baseball season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. 2019 Major League Baseball Draft
The 2019 Major League Baseball (MLB) First-Year Player Draft was held from June 3 to 5, 2019. The draft assigned amateur baseball players to MLB teams. The draft order was set based on the reverse order of the 2018 MLB season standings. In addition, compensation picks were distributed for players who did not sign from the 2018 MLB Draft and for teams that lost qualifying free agents. Nate Fisher
Nathan Charles Fisher (born May 28, 1996) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Chicago White Sox organization. He previously played in Major League Baseball for the New York Mets. He made his major league debut in 2022. Amateur career Fisher graduated from Yutan High School in Yutan, Nebraska, where he played basketball, football and baseball for the Chieftains. During his senior year in high school, Fisher led the football team in tackles. During his senior basketball season, the Chieftains were vying for their first state tournament berth since 1994, and eventually lost to Freeman High School. The Arkansas Travelers, also known informally as The Travs, are a Minor League Baseball team based in North Little Rock, Arkansas. KIRO (710 kHz "Seattle Sports") is a commercial AM radio station in Seattle, Washington, owned by Salt Lake City–based Bonneville International. The station airs a sports radio format and is an ESPN Radio Network affiliate. The station's studios and offices are located on Eastlake Avenue in Seattle's Eastlake district. Taylor Grant Williams (born July 21, 1991) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Seattle Mariners organization. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2017 and has also played for the Mariners, San Diego Padres, and Miami Marlins. In Major League Baseball, a player to be named later (PTBNL) is an unnamed player involved in exchange or "trade" of players between teams. The terms of a trade are not finalized until a later date, most often following the conclusion of the season. Postponing a trade's final conditions or terms is often done for several reasons. First, the team receiving the PTBNL might not be certain which position they want to fill, so this type of deal gives them more time to figure it out.
