Matheus Henrique de Souza (born 19 December 1997) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Cruzeiro. He also represents the Brazil national team. Club career On 11 August 2021, Matheus Henrique joined Italian Serie A club Sassuolo on a season-long loan from Grêmio, with an obligation to buy. International career Matheus Henrique made his senior debut for Brazil in an October 2019 friendly against Senegal. Previously, he was part of the Brazil under-23 team that won the 2019 Toulon Tournament, beating Japan on penalties in the final. Courtesy of his Grêmio performances, he became a mainstay of the under-23 team preparing to compete at the Tokyo Olympics. 2015 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
The 2015 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D, the fourth level of the Brazilian League, was contested by 40 clubs, and started on July 12 and ended on November 15, 2015. The four teams in the semifinals were promoted to the 2016 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C. Competition format The 40 teams are divided in eight groups of 5, playing within them in a double round-robin format. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana, named as ''Copa Sudamericana'' (; pt, Copa Sul-Americana ), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 2002.
