Mateusz Wieteska
Mateusz Wieteska (born 11 February 1997) is a Polish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Ligue 1 club Clermont and the Poland national team. Club career On 7 July 2017, Wieteska signed a contract with Ekstraklasa side Górnik Zabrze. On 14 June 2018, his move to Legia Warsaw was announced. On 25 July 2022, Ligue 1 club Clermont announced the signing of Wieteska, who joined the French side on a four-year contract. International career On 15 March 2022, Wieteska was called up by the Poland national team head coach Czesław Michniewicz for the friendly match against Scotland and the 2022 FIFA World Cup play-offs final against Sweden. Legia Warszawa (), commonly referred to as Legia Warsaw or simply Legia, is a professional football club based in Warsaw, Poland. I liga ( pl, Pierwsza liga, ), currently named Fortuna I liga due to its sponsorship by Fortuna, is the men's second professional association football division of the Polish football league system, below the Ekstraklasa and above the II liga via promotion/relegation systems. The 2015–16 I liga is the 8th season of the Polish I liga under its current title, and the 68th season of the second highest division in the Polish football league system since its establishment in 1949. The league is operated by the Polish Football Association (PZPN). The league is contested by 18 teams. The regular season was played in a round-robin tournament. The season began on 1 August 2015, and concluded on 6 June 2016. After the 19th matchday the league will be on winter break between 6 December 2015 and 3 March 2016. According to the competition rules, all clubs are required to field at least one youth player (born on 1995 or later and Polish or trained in Poland) in every game (except for the times when the only youth player on the roster is sent off or unable to continue playing). The 2016–17 Ekstraklasa (currently named Lotto Ekstraklasa due to sponsorship reasons) was the 83rd season of the Ekstraklasa, the top Polish professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1927. The league is operated by the Ekstraklasa SA. The season started on 15 July 2016, running to 4 June 2017. After the 20th matchday the league was on winter break between 20 December 2016 and 9 February 2017. The regular season was played in a round-robin tournament. The 2014–15 Ekstraklasa (currently named T-Mobile Ekstraklasa due to sponsorship reasons), is the 81st season of the highest level of football leagues in the Polish football league system since its establishment in 1927. It began on 18 July 2014. A total of 16 teams are participating, 14 of which competed in the league during the 2013–14 season, while the remaining two were promoted from the I Liga. Each team played a total of 30 matches, half at home and half away. Legia Warsaw were the defending champions, having won their 10th title last season, but Lech Poznań won their 7th title. 2022 FIFA World Cup Squads
The 2022 FIFA World Cup was an international football tournament held in Qatar from 20 November to 18 December 2022. The 32 national teams involved in the tournament were required to register a squad of up to 26 players, including three goalkeepers. Only players in these squads are eligible to take part in the tournament. A provisional release list of between 35 and 55 players per national team was submitted to FIFA by 21 October 2022, one month prior to the opening match of the tournament. The release lists were not made public by FIFA. The 2022–23 UEFA Nations League A is the top division of the 2022–23 edition of the UEFA Nations League, the third season of the international football competition involving the men's national teams of the 55 member associations of UEFA. League A will culminate with the Nations League Finals in June 2023 to determine the champions of the competition. Czesław Michniewicz (; born 12 February 1970) is a Polish football manager and former player who managed the Poland national team in 2022. Managerial career Early years In September 2003, Michniewicz was appointed as the manager of Lech Poznań. He led the side to the 2003–04 Polish Cup and Polish Super Cup titles. He left the club in June 2006. In October 2006, he was appointed manager of Ekstraklasa side Zagłębie Lubin, leading the club to the 2006–07 league title.
