Mateo De Angulo
Mateo De Angulo Velasco (born June 18, 1990, in Cali) is a Colombian swimmer, who specialized in long-distance freestyle events. He is a 2010 NJCAA Men's Swimmer of the Year, and nine-time NJCAA champion. He also holds Colombian records in all three long-distance freestyle events (400, 800, and 1500 m). De Angulo helped his Colombian team to take the trophy in the 800 m freestyle relay at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. De Angulo qualified for the men's 400 m freestyle at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, by establishing a Colombian record and a time faster than the FINA B-cut off time of 3:53.66 from the Indy Grand Prix in Indianapolis, Indiana. Freestyle Swimming
Freestyle is a category of swimming competition, defined by the rules of the International Swimming Federation (FINA), in which competitors are subject to a few limited restrictions on their swimming stroke. Freestyle races are the most common of all swimming competitions, with distances beginning with 50 meters (50 yards) and reaching 1500 meters (1650 yards), also known as the mile. Ahmed Gebrel (born January 22, 1991) is a former Olympic swimmer who was born in Cairo (Egypt) for a Palestinian father and Egyptian mother. He started swimming in Al-Ahly Sporting Club in Egypt at young age (4 years). At that time he used to hold only the Palestinian nationality so at age 15 he could represent his country Palestine in 2006. He hold the Palestinian Swimming Records in: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m Freestyle, as well as the 200m and 400m Individual Medley. The Florida Southern Moccasins (also shortened to Florida Southern Mocs) are the athletic teams that represent Florida Southern College, located in Lakeland, Florida, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Moccasins compete as members of the Sunshine State Conference in 17 varsity sports. Florida Southern has been a member of the conference since its founding in 1975.
