Matej Rapnik (born 24 February 1990) is a Slovenian retired footballer who played as a defender. He captained Slovenia from under-15 level up to under-19 level and played for the under-21s. Club career In July 2007, Rapnik signed for Scottish Premier League side Heart of Midlothian where he made the bench on several occasions but never made a first team appearance. Slovenj Gradec (; german: Windischgrätz'', ''after about 1900 ''Windischgraz'') is a town in northern Slovenia. It is the centre of the City Municipality of Slovenj Gradec. It is part of the historical Styria region, and since 2005 it has belonged to the NUTS-3 Carinthia Statistical Region. The Slovenian Second Football League ( sl, Druga slovenska nogometna liga or commonly 2. SNL) is the second highest Association football, football league in Slovenia. The league was formed in 1991 and is operated by the Football Association of Slovenia. Format and rules In its inaugural season (1991–92 Slovenian Second League, 1991–92), the Slovenian Second League was divided into two regional groups (East and West), with both winners directly promoted to the Slovenian PrvaLiga. In 1992, a unified league was formed with 16 clubs playing the Round-robin tournament, round-robin system, which lasted until 2003. Two clubs were usually promoted, while the number of those relegated varied with the number of divisions in the Slovenian Third League. The 2009–10 Slovenian PrvaLiga was the 19th season of top-tier football in Slovenia. The season began on 18 July 2009 and ended on 16 May 2010. Koper won the league for the first time. Teams Primorje were relegated to the Slovenian Second League after the last-place finish in 2008–09, thus ending their sixteen-year spell in Slovenia's highest division. Drava Ptuj successfully avoided relegation for the second year in a row by beating Second League runners-up Aluminij in the relegation play-offs. Nogometni klub Rudar Velenje ( en, Rudar Velenje Football Club), commonly referred to as NK Rudar Velenje or simply Rudar Velenje, is a Slovenian football club from Velenje which competes in the Slovenian Second League.
