Mataeo Bunbury
Mataeo Chandler Razario Bunbury (born June 13, 2005) is a professional soccer player who currently plays for MLS Next Pro side Columbus Crew 2, on loan from Birmingham Legion FC. Born in the United States, he represents Canada at youth international level. Early life Bunbury began playing soccer at age three with Lakeville SC. In 2016, he joined the Sporting CP Youth Academy in Portugal. Later, he played for Minneapolis United SC, before joining the Minnesota United academy, leaving the club in 2020 when the academy ceased operating. Afterwards, he joined the Sporting Kansas City academy, playing for the club's Under-17 and Under-19 age groups. He became the third member of his family to join the organization, after his father Alex and older brother Teal previously played for the MLS side. 2022 MLS Next Pro Season
The 2022 MLS Next Pro season is the inaugural season of MLS Next Pro, the reserve league of Major League Soccer. It is the first season since 2014 where MLS had a standalone reserve league, the previous season being the MLS Reserve League. Including both MLS Next Pro and the MLS Reserve League, it is the ninth season of a reserve league operated by MLS. The league is sanctioned as a third division league by U.S. Soccer. A total of 21 clubs, 20 MLS reserve teams and one independent team (Rochester New York FC) participate in the 2022 season. Loudoun United FC is an American professional soccer team based in Leesburg, Virginia. The team was founded in 2018 as the reserve team of D.C. The Charleston Battery are an American professional association football, soccer club based in Charleston, South Carolina, and member of the USL Championship.
