Matador De Passarinho
"Matador de Passarinho" (Portuguese for "''Bird Killer''") is a song written, composed and performed by the Brazilian musician Rogério Skylab, and originally included on his second studio album, ''Skylab'', from 1999. In an interview Skylab explained that the song is a "perversion" of "Passaredo", a composition by Francis Hime and Chico Buarque. Before appearing in recorded form, the song obtained fame after one of Skylab's appearances at Jô Soares' late-night talk show ''Jô Soares Onze e Meia'' in the mid-1990s, becoming one of the musician's greatest hits. Besides, the song is considered the greatest hit of the history of the Rio de Janeiro underground/independent music scene. Rogério Tolomei Teixeira (born September 2, 1956), better known by his stage name Rogério Skylab, is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, lyricist, classical guitarist, poet, essayist, record producer, actor and former television presenter. His unique musical style is characterized by minimalism and eclecticism, and his lyrics are permeated by acerbic allusions to popular culture, pessimism, scatology, nihilism and black comedy (he has, however, always denied that his songs have humorous purposes). Skylab was the first United States space station, launched by NASA, occupied for about 24 weeks between May 1973 and February 1974. It was operated by three separate three-astronaut crews: Skylab 2, Skylab 3, and Skylab 4. Lívio Romano Tragtenberg (born 1961) is a Brazilian musician, composer, music theorist, professor and record producer. Biography Tragtenberg was born in São Paulo in 1961, to professor and sociologist and actress . On his father's side, he is of German-Jewish descent, and has a brother and a sister. ''Skylab'', also retroactively referred to as ''Skylab I'', is the second studio album by the Brazilian musician Rogério Skylab, the first in his series of ten eponymous, numbered albums. It was self-released in 1999 and produced by Robertinho do Recife (famous for his previous collaborations with Xuxa Meneghel, Hermeto Pascoal, Fagner and Geraldo Azevedo, among others), who also played the guitar and did the musical arrangements. Francisco Buarque de Hollanda (born 19 June 1944), popularly known simply as Chico Buarque, is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, guitarist, composer, playwright, writer, and poet. He is best known for his music, which often includes social, economic, and cultural reflections on Brazil.
