Mastermind (Irish Game Show)
''Mastermind'' was an Irish television quiz show that aired on TV3 as part of its autumn/winter 2011 schedule. The show is licensed to TV3 through BBC Worldwide. The show is based on Bill Wright's concept which first aired on BBC One back in 1972. The show is well known for its challenging questions, intimidating setting and air of seriousness. The Irish version of the show was hosted by Nora Owen who is a former Irish Fine Gael politician. She was a Teachta Dála (TD) for Dublin North from 1981 to 1987 and from 1989 to 2002. She also served as Minister for Justice from 1994 to 1997. Broadcast The show was in fact broadcast on TV3 as 'Celebrity Mastermind' in June/July 2012. A series of 'Junior Mastermind' followed in November/December 2012. Nora Owen
Nora Owen (; born 1 June 1945) is an Irish former Fine Gael politician who served as Minister for Justice from 1994 to 1997 and Deputy Leader of Fine Gael from 1993 to 2001. She served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin North constituency from 1981 to 1987 and 1989 to 2002. She was a presenter of TV3's topical programme ''Midweek''. Early life Owen was born in Dublin in 1945. She is a sister of Mary Banotti and a grandniece of the Irish revolutionary leader Michael Collins. She was educated at Dominican Convent, County Wicklow and University College Dublin (UCD) where she qualified as an industrial chemist. The Minister for Justice ( ga, An tAire Dlí agus Cirt) is a senior minister in the Government of Ireland and leads the Department of Justice. BBC Two

Rick O'Shea
Paul Crossan (born 7 May 1973, also known as Rick O'Shea) is an Irish radio personality. He was born in Drimnagh, Dublin 12, grew up in Crumlin, and attended Drimnagh Castle Secondary School and later UCD. He has been a presenter on RTÉ 2fm since 2001. O'Shea has also presented ''The Poetry Programme'' on RTÉ Radio 1 in 2015 and 2016. Since 2017 he has been presenting the morning show on RTÉ Gold.
