Master Of European Design
Master of European Design (MEDes) is a unique degree programme within a network of seven leading design schools in Europe. The structure of the programme During the five-year programme, students experience three design education systems and join a strong international community. The location diversity provides insight into design approaches, multi-national perspectives and creates sensitivity towards cultural differences. * In the first and second year, the students study at their home universities * The third year is spent at one of the international partner universities * At the end of third year, the students submit their BA theses to their home university. * The fourth year is spent at a second partner university * For the fifth - final year - the students return to their home universities to complete their Master theses. Glasgow School Of Art
The Glasgow School of Art (GSA; gd, Sgoil-ealain Ghlaschu) is a higher education art school based in Glasgow, Scotland, offering undergraduate degrees, post-graduate awards (both taught and research-led), and PhDs in architecture, fine art, and design. The school is housed in a number of buildings in the centre of Glasgow, upon Garnethill, an area first developed by William Harley of Blythswood Hill in the early 1800s. The most famous of its buildings was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in phases between 1896 and 1909. The eponymous Mackintosh Building soon became one of the city's iconic landmarks and stood for over 100 years. It is an icon of the Modern Style (British Art Nouveau style). The building was severely damaged by fire in May 2014 and destroyed by a second fire in June 2018, with only the burnt-out shell remaining. Konstfack, or University of Arts, Crafts and Design, is a university college for higher education in the area of art, crafts and design in Stockholm, Sweden. History Konstfack has had several different names since it was founded in 1844 by the ethnologist and artist Nils Månsson Mandelgren as a part-time art school for artisans, under the name "Söndags-Rit-skola för Handtverkare" ("Sunday Drawing School for Artisans").
