MasterChef Australia (series 15)
The fifteenth series of the Australian cooking game show ''MasterChef Australia'' premiered on 7 May 2023 on Network 10. The series was originally announced at Paramount's and Network 10's upfronts in October 2022. Subtitled ''Secrets & Surprises'', the season featured 18 contestants, with 17 new to the show. Andy Allen, Melissa Leong, and Jock Zonfrillo returned to the show as judges from the previous season. This is the last season to feature Jock Zonfrillo following his death on 30 April 2023. Filming of the season was completed in March 2023, before the death of Zonfrillo. The series was originally intended to premiere on 1 May 2023. Following Zonfrillo's death on 30 April, a day before the season premiere, it was confirmed that the show's premiere would be postponed. The series ''The Bridge Australia'' aired in its place. Andy Allen (cook)
Andrew Peter Allen (born 30 April 1988) is an Australian cook. He is notable for winning the fourth season of '' MasterChef Australia'' in 2012, and for being a judge on '' MasterChef Australia'' from 2020. ''MasterChef Australia'' Allen won the fourth season of ''MasterChef Australia''. After making it to the final, Allen beat fellow finalists Audra Morrice and Julia Taylor in a three-way contest. Poh Ling Yeow (; born 1973) is a Malaysian-born Australian cook, artist, actress, author and television presenter. Early life and history Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, into a fifth-generation Malaysian Chinese family, and her mother is of Hakka descent. Yeow attended SMK Convent Bukit Nanas. Gabriel Gaté
Gabriel Gaté (born 1955 in the Loire Valley) is a French chef and cookbook author living in Australia. He has appeared on a number of Australian television shows. Gabriel was awarded La Croix de Chevalier (Knight's Cross) in L'ordre du mérite agricole (Order of Agricultural Merit) in the year 2000.
