Massinissa Akandouch
Massinissa Akandouch better known as Massinissa of the Rif (born Sidi Massinissa n Dadi Akandouch Aouattah Bouyfruri, Tamazight pronunciation: and Neo-Tifinagh: ⵎⴰⵙⵙⵉⵏⵉⵙⵙⴰ; born 8 November 2001) is a Moroccan-born Riffian indigenous social entrepreneur and socialite. He is the great-great-grandson of Prince Amghar Sidi Mohand Ameziane of the Rif. Early life and family Akandouch's family has been part of the African aristocracy since the 19th century. His paternal great-great-grandfather Prince Amghar Sidi Mohand Ameziane of the Rif was a tribal leader and the first Riffian anti-colonial leader who led the Riffians to war against the Spanish colonization of the Rif which ultimately led to him being killed in battle during the Kert campaign by the Spanish colonial army. Al-Hoceima
Al Hoceima ( ber, translit=Lḥusima, label= Riffian-Berber, ⵍⵃⵓⵙⵉⵎⴰ; ar, الحسيمة; '' es, Alhucemas'') is a Riffian city in the north of Morocco, on the northern edge of the Rif Mountains and on the Mediterranean coast. It is the capital city of the Al Hoceïma Province. It is situated in the territory of the Ait Waryagher and Ibaqouyen tribes of the Rif region, who speak a Riffian variety of the Berber language locally called ''Tmaziɣt'' or ''Tarifit''. Riffians or Rifians (; singular: , ) are a Berber ethnic group originally from the Rif region of northeastern Morocco (includes the autonomous city of Spain, Melilla). Communities of Riffian immigrants are also found in southern Spain, Netherlands and Belgium as well as elsewhere in Western Europe. They are overwhelmingly Sunni Muslims, but retain their pre-Islamic traditions such as high status for Riffian women. According to Irina Casado i Aijon, Riffians have traditionally organized themselves under "patrilineality and patrilocality principles".
