Brigitte Massin
Brigitte Massin (21 July 1927 – 5 December 2002) was a French musicologist and journalist. With her husband Jean Massin, she published numerous works on music. Brigitte Massin is the mother of Béatrice Massin, a specialist of Baroque dance. Biography Massin has written extensive biographical works on classical and romantic composers. She specialized in Franz Schubert, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Beethoven. Caroline Massin
Caroline Massin (2 July 1802 – 27 January 1877) was a French seamstress known for her tempestuous marriage with the philosopher Auguste Comte during the most creative period of his life. Comte was mentally unstable and had jealous fantasies about his wife's infidelities. Early in the marriage he broke down and was confined to an asylum for several months. The marriage continued to be strained, with constant money worries. Although Caroline supported her husband and believed in his genius, Comte could never accept her independence. They separated after 17 years. In his last years Comte wrote an appendix to his will in which he accused Caroline of having been a prostitute. The slur was later repeated by his followers. After his death Caroline encouraged a sympathetic biographer of Comte and helped launch a magazine devoted to his philosophy of positivism. Dona Massin
Dona Massin (born 18 February 1917–26 May 2001) was a film choreographer best known for her work on the 1939 film version of ''The Wizard of Oz (1939 film), The Wizard of Oz''. Dona Massin appeared in over 100 films throughout her career. Early years Dona Massin's family moved to Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California when she was eight years old. She started her show business career as a child. Also at the age of eight, she sang My Man at the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles and received a standing ovation. She then was discovered by Maurice Kosell and was given free dancing lessons due to her natural talent. At the age of 14, Dona was signed to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, MGM Studios and worked on many of the musicals. Jean Massin
Jean Massin (1917Notice d'autorité sucatalogue.bnf.fr/ref>–1986) was a French historian and musicologist. With his wife Brigitte Massin, he is the author of numerous books of history and musicology. Biography After studying at the seminary in Rome, Massin remained a Catholic priest until 1952, despite questions about tradition. He was close to Paul Claudel, the theologians Yves Congar and , vicar of the Parish of Saint Séverin. Then he became a critic and musicographer. Kain Massin is an Australian writer of speculative fiction. Biography Massin is based in Adelaide, South Australia where he is a high school maths and science teacher. He is also a member of the Blackwood Writers Group. Massin's first work was published in 1998 with his short story "Escape from Stalingrad" which was featured in fourth edition of ''Harbinger''. "Escape from Stalingrad" was nominated for the 1999 Aurealis Award for best horror short story but lost to Sean Williams and Simon Brown's "Atrax". In 2008 Massin's first novel was published by ABC Books, entitled '' God for the Killing'', after he won the 2008 ABC Fiction Award which has a A$10,000 prize and a publication deal for the novel.
